What is Chypre oil?

I keep hearing murmurs of this oil among women over here. I guess maybe it was popular once before and is now making a comeback. I still don't know what it is though. I'm trying to find out. I mean, does it smell nice? Are there any special properties? Does anybody know orhave you hear of this?
