Chronic Urticaria...anyone else out there.

Has anyone else been diagnosed with Chronic Urticaria?

About five years ago I was diagnosed with this. It is basically just one of those catch all diagnosis when they can't figure out what is causing something. I basically just get hives all over my body for no apparent reason. I have tried taking benadryl and I am on allergy medicine 365 days a year. Nothing seems to help. The doctor put me on steroids the first time I broke out and that just made me gain weight. Aftrer about a year they went away and I couldn't have been more excited. I lost all the weight and thought my life would go back to normal.

Now I have started breaking out again and I refuse to go back on the steroids but I have to find some sort of relief. I was told vinegar and cornstarch would help but I tried it and think it only works on hives you get when you have a known allergy. The hives that I get are not little hives like I have seen on other people. I will get them so they cover my entire stomach, yea I'm just one big walking hive.

Please help...If anyone has any suggestions, I am open to try anything.

I'm no expert, but have you tried taking oatmeal baths? They also make moisturizers with oatmeal, body washes, etc. It's supposed to be good for allergies, sensitive skin, stuff like that. I know Aveeno makes some and I'm sure there are other companies out there. Sorry I can't be of more help.
