Hello,

I am new here. I am an African American who has childhood acne and mosquito bite scars on my face and legs. I have purchases GA 30%, Super Cop, and Emu Oil.

I would like to know if these will really work or do I need to try something else?

I've never tried those before, but I have tried Mederma on recent scars and it really helps fade the scar. For older scars, they say you should use it longer.

What about a home microdermabrasion product? I use Epidermx. There are a lot of threads on this product on these forums. I use emu oil around my eyes and my esthetician told me that the skin around my eyes looked plump. So I was happy about that (I am 45). It sounds like you are on the right track with those products.

I use emu oil as my night time moisturiser and its great on the skin, I don't know what its like with acne scars though! hope it works for you

i'm currently using Epidermx and Camellia Oil for my face to help fade acne marks and scars...i love how those 2 products make my face smooth and soft but still waiting results when it comes to acne scars...i'm using it once a week so let's see what will happen to my scars..

Camellia oil (Silkia brand) has really faded my acne blemishes very fast, even faster than Epidermx. So far it's been 3 months only and I already notice a difference for some my small indents.

I also use GA but am pretty sure that it only helps with blemishes or hyperpigmentation. I didn't see any difference for my indents while using it alone.

I haven't used Super Cop and emu oil so no comments.

Copper peptides work beneath the surface of the skin by aiding in a process called skin remodeling. A simple explanation is that copper peptides aid in the process of forming new healthy skin cells which push damaged cells to the surface of the skin where they slough off.

Hi, i have quite bad acne scarring also. You could try a product called Bio Oil as this has been proven to work. Also MD will make the skin look beter and the scars less visible.I recently tried Loreal Renoviste and was very impressed with the results.Close friends commented that there was a visible improvement and the scarring looked less visible.

Another vote for the silkia camiella oil. This really helped fade my acne scars. It did take about a month of using it twice a day before I noticed it. I also used the epidermx and I believe this also helped too but the camiella oil really made a difference for me. I got mine at goldportbeauty.com.

Oh wow!!! Perhaps I will look into buying the camelia oil. A lot of good reviews.

yep, i agree about the epidermx and silkia camelia oil. i ordered mine from goldportbeauty.com..i'm still waiting for it to arrive. i am so excited to try this..it's gotten excellent reviews. glycolic acid will also help..i'm starting with the avon peel pads (still waiting on those too..) and then i'm going to try 30 % ga..so it sounds like your on the right track.

What about the "poc mark" like scars?? I dont have acne, but a couple of years ago i broke out real bad on the side of my face and now i have poc mark scars. I use Mederma to make the color go away, but Im guessing only surgery will help these scars. Anyone have any info?

Anyone have any info? well i don't know anything about "poc mark" scars but microdermabrasion will help, at least reduce the scars. a derm could tell you more..but there is a lot you can do before trying the surgery. just be patient with treatments! good luck!

i think ... laser is better.. im trying to go for it because after using my accutane i have these acne scars going on.. and its good idea to go to a laser places and ask for any promotional packages going on ^^
