Chemical Peels

In search of the best peel out there. Can't afford a derm right now, does anybody have suggestions? Since I'm doing this myself, I definitely want it to be something mild, but still effective. So nothing too harsh please. Thank-you!

How much downtime are we talking about? Will I be able to go out in public without scaring small children? How many days will my skin "peel"?
