Loving the organic and just about everything else certified range from skincarecafe.com, whose range of natural beauty treats contains the purest ingredients to feed your skin. The Organic Lemongrass Face Mask, £10.99, is a pretty good place to start, as it uses natural clay, rosemary essential oil and – obviously – lemongrass to give pores a thoroughly deep clean. Use it as a quick fix mask for 3-4 minutes and rinse off to reveal cleanses and revitalized skin. Will also confess to a scrub addiction, because the Sexy Scrub, £14.99, leaves skin softer than ever before. Laced with aphrodisiac essential oils such as ylang ylang and patchouli, it’s the perfect pre-date treatment for skin that’s going to be stroked. Natural and organic products work in better harmony with your skin than chemically derived ingredients, so expect results!

» Chanel Le Vernis Black Satin

If there’s one nail varnish that everyone’s going to be chasing this season, this is it. Black Satin is the deepest, blackest black with a high gloss finish and spot on for anyone doing the ‘goth’ look (or even anyone vaguely thinking about wearing anything black this season). It’s such a lovely consistency – two coats will do it – and glides onto nails like a dream. Wear it with your nails blunt at the ends sticking to a shortish to mid-length style. And if you really can’t get your hands on a bottle (expect wait lists unless you are quick), turn instead to Rescue Beauty Lounge’s Revamp, £13.45; a Dorothy in red shoes meets Quentin Tarantino in a Hammer House of Horror scarlet glitter shot black.

Chanel Le Vernis Black Satin, £12.

Chanel makes some beautiful polishes, but I'd probably never use the black one. I'm fortunate enough to have strong nails, so I like to keep them long, and the black would look way too gothy. I'm really into light pinks, corals, and burgundy reds right now tho.
