Hey girls! I used Cetaphil's gentle cleanser many years ago when my derm recommended it. I have since stopped and used all different kinds of cleansers since-I get bored real easily!!! Well, my skin has not been looking its best lately-not really sure why. I have been breaking out more now than I ever have. My skin is also kinda red. I have been thinking about going back to using Cetaphil cleanser and lotion. But for anyone else who had used it-does it remove makeup good? I'm not meaning eye makeup (I use a eyemakeup remover), but does it remove liquid foundation well?

I like it, I have very sensitive skin and it's kind to it. I've found it does remove my foundation and eye make up.

I've found the best way to remove makeup is an oil like jojoba or cold cream (by Ponds). Either is very gentle and won't strip your skin. Just follow with a cleanser.

Can you get cetaphil in the UK? Ive heard loads of people raving about it & i want to try it!! If not where would I get it from since im going to San Francisco & las vegas next week wohhoo!!! xxx

Olive oil is also a gentle cleanser and effective makeup remover. I use Cetaphil and I loveit.

I like Cetaphil (it is my backup cleanser) but it doesn't remove my makeup.

It does leave my skin very moisturized and smooth.

the regular cetaphil does not remove foundation very well, but the oily cetaphil cleanser

does.

Ditto!

Cetaphil is a lover or hate it product. I personally loved it when using it and it did remvoe my makeup. I had no problems with it. If it works for you and you loved it. go for it!

I agree that it's a love or hate product. I personally hate the gentle cleanser and the lotion. The cleanser leaves what feels like a film on my skin. Some people like that feeling because they feel like it's not stripping thier skin and making it dry. I tried the lotion again recently and hated it because it made my skin feel sticky. I do love Cetephil cream. I have dry skin and it does help with the really dry spots.

Any cleanser removes my makeup if I use my Buf Puf and/or washcloth with it.... My dermatologist recommended Cetaphil bar soap with a Buf Puf sponge to cleanse and exfoliate at the same time, so that's what I usually do! Then I use a washcloth to remove the remaining cleanser... I've never understood how girls wash their face with only their hands, maybe it's because I have very oily skin but I never feel clean when I do that!

I just didn't like the smell or feel of my skin with Cetaphil...and it really never did well removing makeup residue..I switched to Neutrogena and I like that one a lot better..

I'm going to try this when my Avon makeup remover runs out.
I love Cetaphil cream- it's perfect for my dry skin patches...makes htem disappear! (Ponds works well for me too)

I used to use cetaphil cleanser based on my dermatologist's recommendation and I was not too thrilled. I stick to Dove beauty bar and it works well. My skin is ultra dry too! I do love cetaphil cream though.
