ok...who has hair at least to the middle of their back and what do you do to keep it looking great?

Mine was down to my a$$ until about a month ago when I went in for a trim. I told the woman.....give me some layers and LEAVE the length.....the b**** turns me around to see the back and I gasped...she said "well, I needed to take off a little more to get the right shape" But even then I didnt realize how short it was...I got home and looked....she cut off 6 inches, at least!!!!!!!! So, now I have hair to the middle of my back:icon_roll

ANYWAY...sorry about that tantrum....tell me what you all do for your long hair

I alternate Kenra, Nexxus and Biolage shampoo and conditioners...all in the moisturizing lines.

I only wash 3-4 times a week. Rarely blow dry. Use a big tooth comb instead of a brush.

Then for my products...I have soo many friggin hair products I don't honestly know which ones are working and which aren't except for one Aveda's Beautifying Complex

I read on a long hair site that you should oil your long hair with coconut of jojoba oil. This Aveda oil has jojoba and I found a bottle on ebay for cheap. It really works pretty well and the bottle is lasting forever so I guess the cost isn't so bad when you figure that in. I told the people at PureDeming about it and am hoping they will make a hair oil in the future.

Hi there,

I have hair to the middle of my back also. I use jojoba or virgin

coconut oil as a pre shampoo treatment. Apply to the ends and leave

in for 20 to 30 minutes before you shampoo. Also the most important

thing I do is that when I do wash my hair, I always put conditioner

in the ends first and then to to apply the shampoo to the scalp only.

Rinse and then condition all over!!

Lastly I apply a leave in conditioner to the ends after I towel dry..

hope this helps

:icon_eek: you mean u have to take extra care with long hair? my hairs near my bum and iv never took any real care of it, infact i do the opposite:icon_roll i blow dry my hair everyother day and straighten my hair everyday! all i do is just shampoo and condition as normal but i do use alot of conditioner and pay attention to the ends most. other than that i dont do nothing except sometimes use a dry end serum.

well everyones hair is different, some people are just blessed with

great hair without extra care...I do pay attention to mine, but I

chemically straighten and color..

yeah my hairs fine, i have got a few dry split ends though but i havent had a trim for ages, so i quess once i do have one my hair will be normal.

lol thanx, most people are suprised my hair hasnt started breaking away the amount of times i straighten my hair.

you know...you are one of those naturally gorgeous girls that all of the rest of us (who have to work at it) do'n't like...aren't you!? LOL

I use Biolage Hydratherapie treatments.. they help a LOT! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> And trims, as much as you probably hate scissors right about now... you'll still need them. You can also use Henna & Placenta masks.. (I use Hask brand) as gross as it sounds, it helps too. Try not to bleach or highlight it, and deep condition it about once a week. :icon_wink

I have very long hair, mine is also to my bottom (I'm gonna cut it). I don't do anything to my hair, and grows really fast, and only recently did I even started using conditioner. Everytime I use any products products, my hair gets weird, and I get a head ache from hairsprays. The only think I do do is watch what I eat, and drink atleast 1L of water (no substitudes). When I was younger I use to put olive oil in my hair, but I don't do it that often any more, maybe once every month or so. Just hydrate it, since it's it's just dead cells, you can only coat it with products, and it won't peneterate the hair itself, so try silicon or anything like to protect it from the cold and heat...

i had long hair a month ago (got a pixie cut ... and it's the worst decision..) but back when i was growing out my hair long, i ended up not having any split ends or dryness because of weleda's rosemary oil (main. ingred. are rosemary and peanut oil). i only used a little each day on damp hair and i would comb my hair 30 min. after taking a shower (because wet hair is prone to breakage -- so i've read) and i always combed the ends of my hair first, working up to the scalp.

lol noo i hate my hair! i wish i could have natural straight hair instead of all the blow drying and straightening, it takes soo long.
