hello

i need to know when should i start using the day cream and the night cream at which age and the same with anti aging creams?

and what is your feed back about total effects from olay do you think it is a good product to use??

what would you recommend?

thanx

I've heard that in general, you should start using eye creams at age 20 .... I don't really have any recommendations though since I haven't been very good about wearing eye cream every day! (And I'm 24 and just starting to get fine lines!)

If you're looking for an anti-aging cream for your whole face, that probably varies from person to person about when you should start. I still have very oily acne-prone skin so I definitely don't want to be putting oily anti-aging creams on my face! Also, in general dry skin ages quicker than oily skin. Moisturizing also helps prevent fine lines if you don't want to go all out and get an anit-aging product!

I have oily skin, so I try to use as few products as possible. I'm only 24, and I'm just now thinking about anti-aging creams. I haven't started using anything yet. I'm still shopping around and sampling. I've been using eye creams for a little bit, and I've found that any eye cream I use makes a difference. I also really like Benefit's Ooh La Lift eye treatment. I use it mornings that I wake up with dark circles, bags, tired eyes, etc.

I think , it depends on your skin type and issues you have.

If you still young but you have dry skin and start to get fine lines, you should get a Moisturizer and NEVER skip Sunscreen. But, if you have oily skin, Sunscreen or light lotion with sunscreen built-in is enough if you don't do many outdoor activities. Don't forget to wear sunglasses when you do your outdoor activities.

Start with those two products first if you are still young. And don't forget to balance your foods with vitamins and drink enough water.

i recommend CLARINS line prevention multi-active day cream. IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY TO CARE FOR YOU SKIN.

the best anti aging thing to do is wear sunscreen!

Also I have been using products with DMAE and it really has made a difference, but I am 36 years old so...

I really think it's different for everyone and the best way to tell is to just observe your skin. Also different creams have different purposes so it all depends on what you're looking to do.

For example, if you're looking to clear pores and exfoliate the skin you might like a glycolic acid night cream( and you want to start off with a low percentage as the higher the percentage the more it will sting).

If you have very dry skin you might want to use a moisturizing night cream.

Also it is not always necesarry to use a day cream, it all depends on your skin. If your skin is very oily you might want to skip a day cream all together. I have combination skin and use a vitamin serum instead( the vitamin serum would be like using an anti aging product, but it's doesnt add extra oil), since adding even more oils to my skin will break my skin out.

I starting using the Vitamin Serum around 20 to prevent aging and it has made a big difference, so I would recomend using anti aging product before the age of 30 since that is when the first signs of aging normally occure. But most important is to listen to your skin.

Hope that helps and as always feel free to message me if you have any questions=)

Everything depends on what kind of skin you have, of course.

I am 24 myselv and use Biogime Skin Care products. During the day it's enough with the cream from 5 step system, but for the night I use Skin Perfection with A vitamin. My skin loves that cream

Karrieann, or anyone else, do you have a recommendation for a sunscreen? I've found that every time I tried one, it has broken me out.

The Vitamin Serum and Glycolic night cream are both Essential Skincare products.

The Vitamin Infusion Serum contains 10% Vitamin C and Vitamins A, E, B3, B5, CoEnzyme Q10, and emu oil to ensure maximum penetration into the deeper epidermal layers of the skin

I agree with you that I only suggest using 1 glycolic acid product, although others may disagree, glycolic acid is a strong AHA which you can tell because the higher the percentage the more it stings your skin. Anymore than 1 glycolic acid product will most likely just irritate the skin. The skin becomes healthier and clearer by rebuilding new skin cells after they have been exfoliated off, and using too many glycolic acid products is not giving the skin time to rebuild itself.

I use the Pore Clarifying Night Cream which contains 10% glycolic acid as well as Salicylic Acid to fight visible acne at the same time. While glycolic acid absorbs deep into the pores to clean, Salicylic Acid's large molecule size sits on the surface to fight visible acne. Emu Oil and Aloe Vera are also added to moisturize, sooth, and ensure deeper epidermal penitration with in the skin. I use this one because I have acne prone skin.

If you don't have acne prone skin there is the Rejuvinating Anti Aging Night Cream. This cream has 8% glycolic acid so it is not as irritating for those with dry or sensitive skin. This is also good for those who are slightly acne prone or acne prone but with sensitive skin. In addition to the Glycolic Acid it contains Hyaluronic Acid which is the best humectant for the skin. It is able to retain more than 1000 times its weight in water, meaning it is able to hydrate the skin. Most people ascociate moisturizers with oils, but what the skin needs is water. Humectants are ingredients that are able to retain water to keep the skin moisturized. Emu Oil is also added to ensure deeper peentration of the hyaluronic Acid. As well as Aloe Vera.

When looking for a good Glycolic Acid night cream I highly suggest not getting a higher percentage than 10%, especially if you haven't used glycolic acids before. Also you want to avoid as many chemicals as possible in all skin care products. At first you may notice that you have a few new breakouts, which is normal because the Glycolic Acid is able to clean underneath the skins surface, so it is bringing acne underneath the skin to the surface.

Let me know if you have any questions=)

hmmm the vitamin serum is interesting!! right now i am using a 6% glycolic toner [the one that comes with proactive] so i think my skin is used to it. i have been using it for a long long time. what glycolic products do you recommend? i have acne prone skin [that gets dry very easily] also.

are there samples of essential skincare? aside from that, do you know any drugstore items that you would recommend?
