summer is here and after a winter of lotioning and socks... I feel my feet starting to callous again from flip flops and sandals.

What's your routine?

Oh in Trinidad its always summer....hehehehe.....I simply use one of the at home spa thingies every other week, and I soak my feet in baking soda.  The baking soda works wonders and gets rid of all the dead dry skin.

Baking Soda?  I did not know this...will definately have to try it.  Can't get much cheaper than baking soda and warm water!

I didn't either. I'll have to try it. I ordered avon's footworks scrub... but only because it feels good.  I don't remember I actually had much success as far as roughness goes. I think I just need to get back in the habit of using a loofah and putting silicone glove cream on my feet with socks at bedtime.

Baking soda is an alkaline product and can be used as an exfoliant. You can even use it as a paste to treat sunburns (prevents blisters). Personally I use a foot scrub called Mr. Pumice on my feet. Love it. Then follow that up with lotion and socks. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I use a pumice religiously and that seems to work well enough, but I can't wait to try the baking soda may make the scrubbing much quicker!! With my fair skin I'll be trying on my burn soon as well thanks for the tip Zadidoll!! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I Through out the year get Pedicures so Theres really not a routine I do for summer!!!

I use it for my counters to get out the stains  so there's not reason why it shouldn't work on my feet... I just have really calloused heels, especially my right foot.  Probably with a pumice it would work pretty well.

Try the Mr. Pumice bar. It's softer than the pumice stones you find at drugstores and it really does act more like an eraser on your feet. I use to use the foot scrubs (one side is sandpaper while the other is a hard pumice rock) and never had any success with it. Mr. Pumice is sold at beauty supply stores like Sally's for under $3 (retail). I've even seen it sold at Walmart. There are different colors because there are different types. I use the blue or yellow bars which are extra-coarse. I think the pink one is medium.

Do NOT use on any other part of your body BUT you feet UNLESS you break it up and smash it into small pieces then mix with a body wash for your knees, elbows or body. If you use the bar as is on your body you can "burn" your skin by rubbing too much skin off.

I have a pumice stone from Tweezerman, on a handle. It works really well. Then i put on lotion, currently it's the new body moisturizer from Nuxe, not overly expensive and it smells so good !

Actually i even try to apply this body lotion on a daily basis, just before putting on my socks.

If you really have dry feet and a lot of dry skin, you can razor the skin with a scalpel, that's what my pedicure does, but you have to be careful.

Funny i have Epsom salt at home but i never tried it on my feet.
