I ask because I really love Cerave products and I see they have a new PM moisturizer that has Niamincine in its formulation. I have extremely sensitive skin. I wondering if others have tried it and what they thought? Currently I am using Vanicream(which I love) but it's just a tad bit to heavy coming into the Spring/Summer months. I also tried Vanicream light lotion but it broke me out?? Go figure.

I've never used a purchased cream with niacinamide in it but I have made a cream with some.  I also have sensitive skin and I found me diy cream a bit harsh for me so I stopped using it.  Maybe I put too much but anyways, I didn't like it so I tossed it.  I don't know how you'd react to it so if you think it may benefit you or its on sale, then give it a try for yourself but my advice is not to fix whats not broken.  Stick with what works for you.

Point taken. Every now and again I would like to change(sigh) but with sensitive skin I very rarely can. My skin moisturizer is fine. That's it. But it's apparent that I may need to up the ante against fine lines. Thanks so much for your input!

I got some Niacinamide to make my own DIY night cream, but haven't played with it yet. Too many reviews about it making skin feel hot and all kinds of scary stuff... The results sound nice, but I don't trust it yet for my sensitive skin.

Niacinamide can be helpful for sensitive skin.  It can be a matter of finding the correct % for you skin.  Higher %'s can definitely cause redness.  Anywhere from 2-5% is usually recommended, 2% could be great for you but 5% horrible, you just have to try it out to see.

I recently started using a DIY toner at 2%, I find it to be soothing.  I just use a very basic toner and add niacinamide ( I used a scale to determine correct %).

I think by the time I was done, my recipe was at 2-3% and it was a little abrasive on my skin.  I've got some much other good ingredients so I'm leaving that for a while.
