I'm really interested in their L'extreme and hynose mascara, but I don't feel like paying $22 bucks for something I'm not sure if I'll like. I'm not very familiar with department store makeup, so does anyone know if they give out free samples?

I do not know if they offere free samples other than when you get a gift with purchase. But they will put it on you at the counter to test it out.

They tend to only give samples when you buy something but I believe they have minatures of most items at all times, they just don't give them out freely.

I am not sure about giving out mascara samples, it is easier to get samples of foundation... But you can try the mascara at the store.

They gave my aunt a sample of mascara, but when I asked for one they said they didn't have any...this was the same day. I did purchase something. I think it depends on how much money they think you have to spend. I ended up getting L'extreme and Definicils that day. I've not used them enough for the $44.00 I paid. I have the best to ask for samples is Estee Lauder at least in my opinion.

When my friend worked there, I got samples all the time! During the holidays they usually have more samples than normal. It wouldn't hurt to just ask them if they have a sample to try. I personally do not try mascara in the store since I have seen children, and a lot of people use the wands, touch the wands, etc. Ew!! Just tell them that you are really sensitive and can't take a chance trying their sample in the store. heheh!

usually if you buy something from them, they will give you the sample you ask for (but it also depends on whether they think you have the money to spend on more items or not)
