I have slightly dry skin, more so in the colder months. Also a little on the sensitive side but not too sensitive that I always have to go with sensitive products. Actually I guess I'm just more acne-prone. Can anyone recommend a great moisturizer or better yet a great skin care regimen that's worked for you. I've never tried the Clinique 3-step regimen but have used their products off and on. Anybody swear by a product or company? Thanks for your help guys....my skin is looking pretty bad.

its my HG and i love it. your skin sounds like mine. i use it twice a day and my skin is in the best shape its ever been in.

Mario Badescu Healing cream at dry points (or all over, can be used as moisturizer alone!), followed by his Oil-Free Moisturizer with SPF 15 works for me!

i realli like Cetaphil, it's a drugstore brand , easy to find and works great . If u need something w/spf. olay makes a good one

I can't really rec any brand other than EL. But I heard raves for Biotherm product.

I have been using Jojoba oil at night that seems to help with breakouts and adds a little moisture. You can also go with tea tree oil diluted in water (i.e. dampen a cotton pad and put a drop on then swipe.) Afterward, put the jojoba/emu oil on any inflamed areas. I am experimenting with Tamanu oil as well and so far so good.

I've been using the Rodan & Fields Essentials Moisturizer...it doesn't have SPF so you would need to use a separate one. But I like it because it's not too greasy but helps relieve my dry skin spots. I also used the neutrogena healthy skin before and liked it a lot.

Unfortunately, I have the oily skin problem, so I have no real recommendation. Looks like you're getting some good ones though.

Dermalogica Active Moist seconded!

i just bought a new moisturiser for dry skin with sensitiveness. it's called Hydraphase from La Roche Posay. i use it twice a day and i already noticed i have less rosiness on my cheeks. it cost me more than my moisturiser for my oily t zone (combination skin), but it's so good i don't regret it. they also have thermal water in spray and an hydrating toner. i had samples with my moisturiser, and they're both great.

Camellia oil is a great moisturizer - I use Silkia brand. It moisturizes real well without making me feel greasy, adds a nice healthy glow to the skin and reducing the appearance of my fine lines and acne scars. It's calming on my sensitive skin and reduces any redness when it arises.

Buy Equate brand at Wal-Mart "skin cleanser" gentle formula. IF you use harsh soaps or detergents on your skin it removes your lipids in your skin which with dry out your skin!

Add salicylic acid to skin cleanser product for acme or large pores.

Use Emu Oil for your moisturizer. I use it every day all aver my body! It's all natural and its the bomb! Doesn't clog pore either.

Is Emu oil a real oil? Same consistency as any other oil? I've tried Vitamin E oil but it was so long ago that I don't remember if I liked it or not. I'm afraid to put oil on my face, I'm prone to break-outs.

I love Clinique's Superdefense SPF 25 moisturizer for normal to dry skin. They also make it for extra dry skin.

Emu Oil is from the Emu Bird! They have been using it in Australia for years! Here in the USA we are always so far behind great natural stuff because the chemical companies don't make any money.

What is: it is the only ingredient that I know of which can penetrate pass the skin because of the size of the molecules. So when you put it on it soaks in like a sponge without any acknowledgement of ever applying it. Only if you put to much on.... your skin can only hold so much. I had to learn this!

When I first heard about it I thought the same thing you did.... oil on my skin - no way! But after doing much research I bought some and it is the greatest stuff!!!!!!......!!!!!!!!

Works great for puffy eyes and anything swollen because it is a natural anti-inflammatory, natural skin moisturizer, healing skin & a carrier of other ingredients.... so you can add like vitamin c with it and it will take it with it when it penetrates. However don't' ever mix it with any kind of chemicals like your acids in your chemical peel, it will burn your skin! So only mix it with natural non harsh chemicals. Plus it is a pain reliever !

I use for everything above on myself and my family. Its like a product everyone should have in their bathrooms & medicine cabinet all in one!

You can find all kinds of stuff about Emu-oil on the Internet. Just stay away from sites that do not have batch# and certified seals on their emu oil if your going to buy some. I buy most of my products from optimal youth's site because their the real stuff, never cut and they carrier all the different oils. But that's where I buy my skin care products so its convenient for me.

^ I heard great stuff about Emu oil but won't be trying it though. Its from an animal sooo.

Anywho, you have my kind of skin so Ill recommend to you what Im using now. Ive used quite a few moisturizers but my favourite would have to be Bobbi Brown Protective Face Lotion with SPF 15. I really love this. Its not too greasy and its great for applying it in the morning before putting on makeup. And it makes your makeup look better! Its also has SPF 15 which is a must in the daytime. Well, Ill post its stats and picture:

Protective Face Lotion:

This lightweight, moisturizing lotion with SPF 15 hydrates as it helps protect against the damaging rays of the sun. Anti-Oxidant Vitamin E aids in fighting skin-damaging free radicals; Chamomile calms and soothes. Formulated to absorb quickly, and leave skin smooth and prepared for even, long-lasting makeup application. Dermatologist-tested.

How to Apply:

For all-day protection, apply in the morning. Pump two or three times onto fingertips and massage over just-cleansed skin. Avoid the immediate eye area. Follow with your usual makeup routine.
