i am not sure if its the product that i just start using or something else? Both of my arms (the tricep areas) feels bumpy when i touch it, and i am not sure why? They are not itchy, or red, they feel and look like goosebumps. They are especially bumpy after i shower. Does anyone know what it is and how i can get rid of it? I really want my smooth arms back:icon_sad: . HELP!!

i have a friend that has this problem due to birth control pills side effects.. could that be it? it could be so many things so this is just a suggestion :icon_cool hope i helped in some way..

my friend had that problem, and i told him to use st. ives apricot scrub and scrub in the areas that are red and bumpy and now he claims that the red bumps are going away.

A friend of mine has Keratosis Pilaris. She started using a sea salt scrub and it has cleared it up.

I had this problem all my life until I moved to another province at 18.

'Course, moving is an awefully extreme measure to take for chicken skin(no, chicken skin wasn't my motivation for moving :icon_wink) so I would suggest scrubbing with bodywash & sugar, it's what I used to do before the moved and it used to help alot! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i had it really bad when i was little and it came back through pregnancy and birth control. now the iud i have brought it back but on my thighs as well and butt. really sucks. i just scrub really good when i'm in the shower and moisturize. seems to help some.

Ladies, Eucerin has produced a skin cream designed just for this condition. It is called Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Body Cream. I just bought it yesterday for my little boys face. I put it on him last night, and when he woke up theis morning the lesions were less red, and the skin flatter!! This cream has urea and alpha Hydroxy acids in it so you have to use a sun block over it prior to going in the sun because you would be more likely to burn. Be careful, made sure you buy the cream, not the lotion. The lotion does not have urea in it. And, your need both urea and the alpha hydroxy together to battle this skin condition.:icon_razz

Ya know, I'm thinking about putting it on my own face to exfoliate it. I'll let you know!! Leslie

hm i'll have to try it. do they sell it in places like walmart or drug stores?

I looked everywhere!! The only place I could find it was at CVS pharmacy. Although, according to Eucerines' web sight, you can get it at places like Walmart. When I went to Walmart, they didn't have it. Whatever........... When you find it, buy it!!!!!!!!!!! My little guys skin is looking better now than it has been since he was four (when it first started). He is seven now. I"m so happy I found this product, and I am happy to share this info. with others!!! Leslie :clap:clap

I actually have that in my upper arms. It looks like dry patches of skin. Flaky and rough. I try to exfoliate, but nothing works. Its not a major problem cuz the patches are small. But its just weird. :icon_conf

I looked at my boys face this morning, and half of the bumps have disappeared! And, I have only been using this creme for two days. Buy it!! It is about $5.50. Spring will be here soon, and you will want to show off your beautiful skin!! Leslie.:icon_razz

KP -- I have it on my upper arms too (and when I was pregnant it popped up on my upper thighs). I've been exfoliating with a pumice and using Dermadoctor KP duty for about 2 months now and no improvement. The KP duty has glycolic acid and urea and it is a nice moisturizer but VERY expensive, and since it's done nothing for me, I won't recommend it or buy it again. Years ago a dermatologist gave me a prescription for lac hydren (sp?) cream, but honestly, I didn't use it consistently so I don't know how well it really works. Interested to try this eurecin stuff though.

That certainly could be the case! Mine got worse with pregnancy so I suspect hormones must play a part. They say exfoliating and moisturizing are key...

I like a cream called Uremol(contains urea) and it works wonders for KP-that and exfoliation. I had an increase in bumps on my skin when I was pregnant as well.

I have it on my buttocks and thighs. It's not irritated or red, just dry and bumpy - like sandpaper :icon_wink in my case, regular scrubbing of the parts and rich, moisturizing body cream were the solution. I've read that the lack of Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids can make it worse, as well as the lack of some type of the vitamin B.

EDIT: I remembered that my mom used to have it and it just disappeared one day without any special care.
