Brown discoloration??

My husband has a brown mask like on his face. Is there anything that will help lighten it or preferably remove it? I think it is caused by sun damage because it is getting worse. Am I correct is this sun damage or something else? It looks weird because he has white spots showing through from the color of his skin. Any suggestions? I prefer a d/s brand product but am willing to look into anything. TIA!!

Sounds like sunspots to me. I would start him on a good sunscreen and then if you can get him to do it..a home microderm abrasion. That will get rid of those layers of dead skin and bring the newer healthier skin to the surface much quicker. Microderm should only be done at night though.

Thanks! I actually have microderm so hopefully I can get him to use it. He hates the way it makes him look so hopefully he will. He does go out fishing a lot and wears no sunscreen.

Is he concerned about the lotion or cream that you put on his face? Or does it make him look red afterwards? Does your kit come with a moisturizer or soothing cream?

Mine comes with a Restorative serum. I've never been able to get him to put anything on his face before. He's 32 and the only thing he has ever put on his face is soap. Now he finally puts on a aftershave cream I bought him.

Yeah...most men are like that...but more and more men are getting concerned about their skin.Hey you could show him an ultraviolet light photo that shows sun damage...tell him you are trying to prevent him from getting skin cancer.

sometimes he will let me do things like put moisturizer on for oily skin, but I have to put it on him. He refuses I guess that way if I do it he feels pushed into it and not girly....lol

Just tell him it will your secret.My husband lets me do whatever I want.He says he can see a difference in his skin. He plays golf and hunts etc..so he is open to using my skincare since he is 51....people say he looks like he is his early 40s.

try using product with Kojic Acid because that will help all discoloration problem. It lightens and whitens the face. it resurface the skin.
