Has anyone tried the Botanics skin care line by Boots? It's supposed to be based on plant extracts. Their prices are very reasonable, so I was wondering what the products are like.

I really like the Botanics range although I haven't really tried the face stuff, just the body stuff. They have a brightening mosituriser though which I'm really interested in. And of course it all smells really nice!

I sure haven't... Would love to hear some reviews/info from others

I recently bought a Boots facial scrub which was only $2 and it's awesome, so now I'm intrigued by their whole skincare range.

Nothing in the review center!

I've used there semi-permanent hair rinse which was quite good! and I've got there skin calming day cream spf 15 which I use on my hands and neck etc because I use a dfferent sunscreen for my face. I've also used there sensitive skin cleansing lotion which was also ok but I don't use them now because theres better products that work for my skin. Overall it is a good skincare brand! x

Hi,

I've seen this brand in Target and wondered about it myself. Huge favor, for those of you who've used this brand. Please add your comments to the review center. Thanks.

I remember that Boots was the name of a drug store chain in Canada.

The last store around here was about 15 years ago.

They would have had their own products, I would think.

Curious if these are the same products.

I currently have the eye mu remover and the clay mask. Both are fine. I don't think the botanical extracts make much difference though. I found the oily skin moisturiser too heavy. I prefer the Boots No7 moisturiser for combination skin.

I didn't know Boots products were available outside the UK!

Thanx for the review jaybe, I need a new eye make up remover and mask! Are you talking about the pore pefecting moisturiser in the tube?

Yes. I have also used the Pore Perfecting night cream. I didn't like either of them. They just felt a bit heavy to me and the day cream made my face shiny through my mu. It was several months ago. I don't know if they've reformulated the products since then. I prefer No7 Intelligent Balance Day Cream. Its also oil free and only about £3-£4.

It's the biggest drugstore/chemist chain in the UK Their products are all good quality and reasonably priced. Hey, they should pay me for this!

I liked the pore perfecting toner although it does leave a slight 'film' on your face

The Eye & lip correction serum and brightening eye cream didn't do anything and I would have rather saved the money and bought a different product

The first signs of ageing radiance night serum was average at best- the same with the face masks

i'd only buy again if i got the promotional vouchers with money off the range

Pore Perfecting Night Cream is the only moisturiser on the market which doesn't break me out in zits!!!

Believe me, I've tried them all.

I like Boots for my make-up and skincare stuff.

They've recently been selling out of a serum they make since a TV show over here did lots of scientific tests on various anti-aging products...

Quote:
Imagine a sales increase of over 2,000% in a day. That’s what happened to Boots anti-aging cream, No.7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum. A day after an independent study aired on BBC2’s Horizon, a science program. The study conducted by the University of Manchester revealed that No.7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum was equally effective at repairing sun damaged skin as more expensive, prescription-only products. Professor Chris Griffiths, Foundation Professor of Dermatology at the University of Manchester was reported as stating that “…Boots No7 Protect & Perfect has been shown scientifically to repair photo-aged skin and improve the fine wrinkles associated with photo-aging.â€

Sold for a mere £16.75 compared to up-to £229 for similar sized products, No.7 is a very attractive buy for woman seeking to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

You can't get hold of it in store for love nor money now!You can buy it on Ebay - but in some cases it's going for a lot more than £16.75!!
