Hi - Im getting married in 6 months, and I was wondering about the wonderful - alien - world of body treatments!

Ive never had any body wraps or anything like that - what do they do, and could anyone recommend any kind of body treatment leading up to the day - like regular mud masks for the body or something (im clueless!!)

Thansk!

Sorry I can't help you sweetie! Have you tried looking on bridal sites for info, or even skin care websites? Maybe someone else will have better info for you

Aww thanks anyway Aquilah, I will have a browse of some skin care websites...

I recently had a Moor mud wrap. I'm not an expert, but I think Mud wraps (and a lot of others) are designed to take out toxins in the body and skin. I have to say that I much rather a pedicure or facial for a spa treatment. I felt relaxed during the wrap but kind of felt as though the treatment wasn't really worth it for me. I exfoliate my skin and moisturize my skin regularly so I didn't find much of a difference after the treatment- especially after you shower. I think that most people do it because it's relaxing and soothing. I would much rather put my money towards pedi or a facial or a deep massage. Hope you have a beautiful wedding day- congrats.

i've been trying to find some info, but i can't find anything really. i've found something on a body wrap to help you lose weight, but that's about it

sorry. i hope someone else can help!

Hi mowgli, Congratulations on your up coming wedding! I think a body wrap would be a nice treatment to have leading up to your wedding. There are different types of wraps. You could have a detoxing wrap or you might want to go for something that smooths and firms the skin as well as gets rid of excess fluid. You can lose inches from area's of your body and i reckon your body would look and great on your wedding day and the dress would look and fit better.

I have never had a body wrap but most are quite time consuming.I have seen a product called Shapechanger's which is sold on QVC in the UK, and they seem to be quick wraps (the same formula used in Beauty Salon's) which you can do at home.I saw them selling on ebay and you could probably get them cheaper.

I'de quite like to try one myself, they recomend a course of treatments for best effect but with the shape changers you get a few treatments.

Thanks girls - from what i can see it looks to be worth it for a big event, but not so useful as a regular thing. I think I will schedule in a course leading up to the big day. Hee hee - I am literally scouring the net for things like this to do, now that I have an excuse!
