Does body butter take the place of body lotion or should you use both but at different times on the body :sheep:

This body butter is new to me and thanks for all the information on the body butter

thread. :sheep:

i think body butter is a tad bit more..hm..thick(?) than body lotion. Just think of butter but for your body. crazy hydration.

Well butter and lotion are both moisturizers for your body. It's just that body butter is a lot thicker and more rich. You can use that if your skin is feeling really dry, or if you just want your skin to be crazy soft. I don't see why you'd need to use both at the same time.

I'd probably recommend body lotion during the day and maybe body butter before you go to bed, or in the evening, because it can take longer to sink in and it's heavier than lotion.

I think body butter is just thicker and more luxurious... does that make sense? I use body butter if my skin is really dry and after I shower.

Yep, the butter is much richer than lotion. For me lotion is fine, but if your skin has a tendency to dry out quickly and get rough and flakey in the winter, try a body butter. Body Shop makes some that smell delicious!

Thanks so much for all the wonderful advice , I love this site I've been out the loop for about 5 yrs but I think I'm ready to get back into the swing of things meaning keeping up with new products etc
