I just bought this to see what the hype was about. Does anyone here use it? When do u apply it? -- before or after flat ironing?

Yeah.... it's after. I've only used this stuff a few times, makes my hair kinda greasy looking.

I have very curly hair (think Juliana Marguiles). When I blow dry my hair straight I put some Silk therapy BEFORE I flat iron. Its almost like the flat iron seals it in. This is the way my hair dresser does it when I get my hair cut. My hair comes out so silky smooth.

Exactly the combination I use!

Omg ya, I noticed that too. I think maybe I put too much. My hair dresser also uses it prior to chi-ing my hair. I'll try that next. Whats the exact purpose of it? I know it smoothes everything and helps control flyaways...it that it though?

I have used this a time or two, still have some in my bathroom now, I use a bit when my hair is wet then after it is dry then I flat iron then I apply it again. My hair is very dry so it doesn't seem to make it oily at all. I will use this when I am out of After Party by TIGI

i put a little in my hair when it's wet. i think it makes it a little softer. but you don't want to put a lot in because it does get greasy. so concentrate it on the ends more than the root area

You also just want to keep in mind that these silicon-type treatments are only coating your hair, and they don't offer any permanent improvements ... Try to keep your hair in as healty a condition as possible, so you won't need much product to get the results you're looking for
