So I'm thinking to start this cause the razors give me some badly itchy feelings and red bumps everywhere! When you waxed your bikini area for the first time alone did you bleed? I did it once years ago but it hurt so badly and bleed and I was so scared that since yet I haven't done it agai, but I really wanna try again. What should I do exactly?

for your first time ... u should go to a salon ... then touch up @ home

i agree with LVA--i think this is one of those "don't try this at home" procedures...also, you might want to look into some numbing products to sort of help with the pain

i definately agree you should go to a salon. i've tried it at home a couple times, and i just don't have the nerve to subject myself to that kind of pain! if someone else is pulling those pieces of paper for you, it definately helps! i have bled a bit when i have had it done, but i'm not really sure if there is much you can do about that. as long as they apply something so you don't get irritated afterwards, it should be okay.

Sophia, I would agree on going to the salon, but what razors have you tried for your bikini area. I find that the Schick Intuition is very easy on the bikini area.

I so agree, I can not inflict pain on myself like that so I just let the spa/salon do it!!! I always bleed a bit, usually an ingrown hair or two coming out, but nothing drastic and they always use a soothing cream on the area.

do they just stick to the inner thigh area, or do they go in a little bit on the you-know-what?

I do it at home all the time.........it does hurt like hell but I get my hubby to do the pulling.... as I curse!!! I do have some tiny spots that bleed sometimes.......but I still get bumps as the hair grows back.....so I exfoliate all the time..........only problem I have with waxing is the growing out.......for example....I'm having a pool party and the hairs are just starting to grow so they are not long enough to wax so I' going to have to shave so I don't look like a freak for the party

The esthetician should go into the inner thigh area & even up onto the you know what if you want her to. Mine always asked me how far I wanted her to go, so to speak. They wear latex gloves, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I agree with the above posts. Have it done professionally the first time, & then do it yourself at home. This is what I did. I also didn't do a d/s wax kit, or d/s wax strips. I invested in something substantial like GiGi Creme Wax. By the time I invested in it, I knew I wanted to wax & was comfortable waxing underarms/bikini line/legs. I do it mainly in the winter, though, for the reason the poster said above: that interim where you have to wait for the hair to be long enough to effectively wax it.
