I tried yesterday to wax my bikini area alone, and I think it was a bad idea, and I stopped after a the 3rd time since it was soo hurtful and created a small line of deep red pimples, and that spot area it's still sensitive today. And I was thinking, should I try again but in a salon or maybe my skin can't handle the wax? How can I know??

I'm soooo sad because my skin cannot handle the razor too, shaving bikini area it's such a PITA for me!!

I've thought doing my own Bikini wax, but i'm kinda scared of it. Honestly, your skin may not be able to handle the wax, like you said.

Definitely go to a salon and I wouldn't suggest anyone do their own unless they're an experienced waxer.

i think we have another thread talking about how waxing that area BY PROFESSIONAL waxer almost kill a gurl. so i think maybe u shouldnt do it anymore for a lil while!

well I would never do it myself... I used to wax down there.. it felt good but I need the hair in winter to keep me warm, LOL.

Seriously though, I would see a prof. If you're worried about having sensitive skin then explain that to them, and ask them to only do a little bit to see how you go!

HTH and good luck

what did you use to pre-treat the area before applying the wax? did you use some type of anti-bacterial creme after the waxing? did you attempt to wax over an area that you waxed previously? these are all things that can cause the reaction you mention. i would definitely wait several days before attempting anything! jmho~

You prob were too sensitive for the wax. There are some waxes you can get at Sally's Beauty Supply that are for sensitive skin, you should try those.
