Okay, this is my first post. I've been lurking for the week. You all have such wonderful advice. So I wanted to share this even though it sounds strange. I've read on here that some of you use hair conditioner when shaving your bikini area. So yesterday morning I applied the conditioner and let it sit while I shaved my legs, then I shaved my bikini area (only moderately on the edges by my legs). Felt pretty okay, no irritation. Now usually within just a few hours I have itchy bumps and the next day I'm going crazy. Here was what the surprise is....after I towled off I smoothed on some Biosilk Silk Therapy that I use on my hair. Now on the bottle it says you can use it on your skin. So, no burning, no irritation. Today...30 hours later....No bumps, no itching, no irritation what-so-ever. So....just thought I'd share.

Wow thats a great tip!!! No matter what i shave with, wax with or any other type of hair remover I break out realy bad on my bikini line. I will definitely have to try this. Thanks hun:rockwoot:

Thanks! I luvvvvvvv Silk Therapy on my hair. One thing about it, though, Biosilk contains alcohols which will dry out your hair in the long run, meaning it's not going to have such a big effect after a while...so it's great to find another use for that big bottle!

Good tip. I can't shave my bikini line, I'm so bad at it so I get it waxed. I do get some bumps the day I have it done but a bit of aloe vera gel with some lavender oil in usually takes care of the bumps.
