Is it possible to get burned by wax when having your eyebrows done? I personally never have, but now I am believing I did. However, I have sensitive skin, and this particular eye, as well as brow bone, etc, seem to be more sensitive than the other. My skin is of course beat red after I get my brows done, and it hurts pretty damn much. Well, I put aloe on the red parts of my right eye to soothe the burning feeling. I did the same with my left eye and notice that the skin under my brow bone, above my eyelid was very swollen and very red. I woke up this morning and it is still there, but my eyelid is a bit swollen as well. It hurts a lot! I am not sure if I was burned, or if she may have ripped a layer of skin off, or maybe both.

Any way to prevent this from happening again?

My sister went in to get her eyebrows waxed and she was burned by the wax. The wax was too hot in the first place, and the person that did the waxing, did each part twice. It burned her so bad that she had scabs on her brow bone and has small scars today.

yes, i did once and never did again. the wax was too hot in the beginning, and the woman just waxed too much hair (some of it has never grow back). my eyebrows were big and red, and i simply couldn't touch them. i put some sunburns cream on them and i let them grow back to their old cavewoman style.

i dont htink the wax burned you cuz if it did it would have scabbed over by morning. i think she just pulled really hard and took off a little more skin than she should have. and even then it might start peeling when it heals. just dont touch it too much just like a cut cuz it can get infected and what not.
