Hiiiiiiiiiii,

I am new on MUT. I have question regarding acne treatment. I have mild acne and oily skin , which comes now and then.

I tried Proactiv but had a bad exp with it. Right now I am using DDF BP 5% gel with tea tree oil as acne treatmetn and MAry Kay timewise cleanser and moisturizer for oily skin and QHMJM as a mask.

But then also my acne is not in total control as one day I am fine an dnext day again I break up.

Please suggest a good acne prone skin care.

Thanks a lot girls in advance

Hi. You will get more responses by posting this in the forum on this board called 'Skin Care Talk'

Anyway, I stopped getting acne when started using exfoliating face scrubs and toner and a good moisturizer

Neutrogena Invigorating Foaming Face Scrub is a great drugstore scrub/cleanser.

I'm gonna move this to Skin care forum for you so you'll get a better response to your question. I've been using and really liking Clinical Basic Skin Care for my acne. I've done some reviews in our review center if you'd like to check them out.

Welcome to MuT!

I swear by the 'Clear Skin Regimen' at www.acne.org

It's cleared me up, just be patient with it. Message me with any questions I would be happy to answer

I like Neutrogena's Acne Free line. They have a lot of good products. The new daily scrub and the washes are excellent, as well as the 8 hour rapid clearing spot treatment. and it's affordable!

Hey,

Thanks a lot with all the replies. I am so happy to found this website. I hope to get more replies. I was thinking of following clear skin regimen but I will need to buy clear skin products right???

I've gone through 8 years of acne hell. It's really hard to say which regimen is right, because everyone is different. I tried basically everything over the counter and also at the dermatologist. I went to an Esthetician to get a facial peel and also purchased the products she recommended. I thought that this was probably a waste of time and money. But everything actually worked. The line of products I use is called Cosmedix, but they are pretty pricey.

I used to have really bad acne at the beginning of this year... but it's gone away!! And now all I use is a really light cleanser.

But for other acne I liked Neutrogena cleanser, and some spectro jel. Anything with bp in it is good too!!

for me it's a combination of dermalogica medicated clearing gel and mama lotion.

i just read the book "skin type solutions" by Dr Baumann because i have heard heaps of people raving about it saying it really helped their skin. I suggest maybe you should read it. ive only just started using products that she recomends for my skin type so not too sure if itll clear my skin, but heres hoping. You first answer a questionnaire that she developed which will tell you ur skin type. She recommends many types of skincare lines high and low that have helped ppl with the same skin type. She also tells you the kind of things that will help your skin and also the type of ingredients to avoid. HTHs

I cannot tell you how much I relate to you. I used to struggle with CYSTIC acne, not just mild. I'd say I easily spent more than 2 grand on skin care. But then when I was at work (I work for a cosmetics/skincare store) someone suggested the "Poreless Gel" by Dr. Brandt. I didn't buy it, because at that point I was sick of spending money and I felt like my face was just meant to be a mess for the rest of my life. So I just took a couple of sample packets and now I'm on my second bottle of the full sized product. The results are crazy. I wish I could post the pictures of my face... but I don't know, I'm kind of scared and ashamed. It was that bad. Now my face is almost clear and all I'm working on are the scars.

I'd suggest trying to get ahold of some sample packets of Poreless Gel and I'm sure you'll be purchasing it once you see the results.
