Soo.... I use to spend a lot of time in upstate New York and Manhattan. While in NYC, I learned about Bumble and Bumble's "Model Project."
Like how most salon's give discounted hair cuts/coloring/styling to help their younger stylists get more experience, B.b. holds "B.b. University" for stylists across the country whose salons use/sell B.b. products. Salons usually end up send their senior stylists to B.b.'s one-week long University sessions at the House of Bumble in the meat packing district.
The cuts, coloring, styling are all free, and they're done by generally pretty senior people. You earn credits towards merchandise each time you participate. The first step is to show up at an open model call, and if they like your hair (length, condition, texture), you're in the system and you get booked for appointments every 3-4 months.
Anyway, I moved to the SF Bay Area and really missed the program....and a couple months ago, they sent out an email announcing the B.b Model project in San Diego. And then today... I got an email that they have opened up a model call in SF!!

I just thought I'd share, see if any of you guys love the B.b. Model project as much as I do!

PS - I've gotten 6+ haircuts and 2 stylings from B.b. Model Project in NYC, and they have all been fantastic! It's kinda time consuming though (~2hrs per session....)
