Sorry pics are so big, but do you HONESTLY think this kind of bangs would look good on me? I have thick hair, but I get it thinned out slightly, but my hair has little to no natural wave, and mostly on the bottom layers. Do you think these type of bangs only work on wavy hair? and do you think they start too far back on her head (does that make sense? lol) I don't like bangs that sit right at the hairline though.

Thanks for your comments! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i love the look of bangs, but i have curly hair, and i dont want to straighten it all the time. so i dont, unless someone knows a look with bangs that is also curly-hair friendly.

I think those bangs would look cute on you with some soft honey highlights. It would really open up your pretty face! I think you're right about making sure they start farther back on the head so they softly fall around and frame the face. Show your hairdresser the pics so she/he knows what you want! Post pics if you do it!!

I think bangs can look good no matter what kind of hair you have... straight or curly. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Only when you have curly hair - you'll have to blow dry them straight -

With Ashley's bangs, they look like they go about 1/2- 3/4" back from e hairline... and cut to probably just below the middle of her eye. Then she just sweeps them to the side.. fairly easy... and I think they'd go fine with straight or wavy hair. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I had bangs when I was a little girl, the classic bob with bangs.:icon_wink I didn't like them much, but they were the straight-across kind, and I want longer sideswept ones this time around. I don't want to go short with them, since I want to be able to work them into a pony or bun. The only thing I wasn't sure of is if my face shape is right for bangs, I have a rounder face (as you can see by the pic). I also have a high forehead, so I thought the side ones would work on me. But I am undecided, and I probably will be until I GET to the salon on appt. day.:icon_redf

Hi Anne,

I have a similar face shape and forehead. Bangs work well on faces like ours because it frames the face and reduces the look of a larger/high forehead. It looks nice if there are some soft layers around the sides of the face to help the bangs blend in. Exactly as shown in the pictures you posted. I am sure your hairdresser will know what will suit you best though! I am sure you'll look gorgeous no matter what you decide!

I have the same problem. It sucks because my forehead is high also but I'm still thinking of trying it again. I've been very bored of my hair lately.

If your hair is thick enough, I say go for it. I think bangs can be cute as long as they're not cut straight across.

those bangs are lovely. ask your stylist for angled bangs, make sure you bring in a picture of that too.

i want bangs myself... trying to find the right kind of bangs.
