Has anyone tried the aveeno clear complexion cleansing bar??? A lady in walmart(customer) told me that she uses it and her adult acne is almost gone.I bought a bar this evening. I will keep posting the results. I just have been getting the worst acne around my chin and lower face. :icon_roll

I tried it and it dried me out to the point where my skin was flaking. Hope it works for you!

The only Aveeno product I've used is the Positively Radiant Moisturizer..it worked ok for awhile, then it started to really make my skin congested and clogged my pores.

Let me know how the Clear Complexion bar works for you...

I've been having some breakouts around my chin/mouth, too. I've heard that breakouts in that area are contributed to hormones, but I think tomorrow I'm going to clean all my phones around the house and my mobile with alcohol. That might be a culprit, too.

What I like the most about Aveeno is its body wash and its moisturizing lotion. It's calming and the scent is natural.

Unfortunately, salicilic acid doesn't do anything when I get pimples, but it's a decent cleaner. I like its cleansing pads.

I like Aveeno products, the lotions and shower gels. I use the positively radient lotion with spf 15 every day. But I dont ever break out so I have never had problems. I have never tried the cleansing bar, but my skin is too dry to use bars to wash my face with.

very good advice. a derm once told me to make sure to clean your phones with alcohol every once in a while.. and also to change your pillow case every week. either one could be the cause of breakouts. i'm guilty of not paying attention to neither one but, i definately need to start taking these things into consideration!

it didn't feel very good to me. From what i remember (i tried it like 2 years ago) it felt like there was left over residue. My sister in law loves it though. In general I need something with exfoliating beads to feel truly clean, lol. I now use another Aveeno product (positively radiant) with beads in it.

it's relatively inexpensive so it's worth a try. When i realized I didn't like using it for my face I used the rest as a body bar, which is fine.

I would be interested in hearing how you like it. I use the Positively Radiant Moisturizer, but have been experiencing breakouts in the same areas (chin especially). Just be sure you're using a good moisturizer. With products like that, it's great to use a moisturizer from the same line because it counteracts the chances of drying out the skin. The Clear Complexion moisturizer is oil-free.

I love Aveeno products. I have tried the bar for dry skin a while back which I loved. I know there is one for oily skin too, I think that is the one you are referring to? It's worth a try. Aveeno has natural oatmeal in it which is great for skin.

right now i'm using aveeno face wash [fun foams!] and using the spf facial lotion. my face is doing better now.

I have not used the cleansing bar but the foaming cleanser and liked it a lot. It didn't make me feel very dry and my face felt very clean. It's one of my favorite cleansers.

I used to use the Clear Complexion moisturizer (loved it) and the Clear Complexion foaming cleanser (liked it too). Until my derm or someone told me I couldn't use it while on other acne med (my skin is too sensitive to AHA's and such, or sylacilc acids while on and acne meds). So now I'm back to very gentle cetaphil and my aloette stuff.....I switch them sometimes....don't know why, probably cuz I hate to let something go to waste and feel the need to use it up.

Oh and I used to use the clear complexion cleansing pads too.....darn had to stop that one too....stupid meds. Hee hee.

I like the clear complexion bar, but do not use their moisturizer, it has jacked up my face! I know this because it was ok just using the bar, added the moisturizer months later and bam!:sadyes:

i love the foaming cleanser. i've never tried the bar soap.
