. Probably get some responses if you post this in Skin Care....

NO!!!! Do not attempt this peel at home. TCA peels are a deeper peel and as such you can do some major damage if you are not educated about skin anatomy, etc. I am a licensed esthetician and I have seen alot of people attempt peels at home with bad results. Even here in Massachusetts an esthetician cannot apply a TCA peel unless they work at a doctor's office. This is some serious stuff! You would be better off with a lower grade peel at home. If your problem is wrinkles glycolic is good but I wouldn't go above 20%. If you have sensitive skin Lactic is best and if it is for acne/problem skin Salicylic is best. If your concern is scarring or pigmentation Jessners work well. But I cannot stress enough how important it is to not attempt any high percentage peel at home. Please, your skin will thank you!

I ran into a website today that had alot of low percentage acid peels, and I was about to post a thread about this to see if people used it too lol! But yeah I was wondering the same thing, and does anyone know much about this website or know if they're products might work?

Here's the site:

Acne Scars, Treat Acne Scars, Get Rid Of Acne Scars

I've never done that kind of treatment, i guess if it's a low percentage you risk less, but i would make sure i follow religiously the instructions.

So I've been doing alot of research today about that site, and I have to say I am very very convinced. The reviews that people give have been really great! So good I'm going to buy alot of their products because most of them got fantastic reviews.

For the most part its not a high concentration its in lower percentages they aren't a miracle the first time but you will see a improvement and over time it will get better. There are ALOT of reviews on Makeup Artists Choice on MUA, so go check it out. Here is the link, I found it VERY helpful!

I never done the treatment but I hear that it's the most harshest on the skin and it's usually performed at a doctor's office. i wouldn't recommend trying this at home.

Hello there.  I have done many other acid peels with little to no peeling.  I have very light skin with minimal sun damage, which peels less than more pigmented skin, and is also a little more forgiving with acid peels and lasers, such as IPL.  I started with low strength acids and worked my way up over the last couple years.  Glycolic and Lacto combined acid peels were my favorites for superficial exfoliation on a monthly basis.  I had dry skin prior to the peels and a good moisturizer.  I am currently 3 days outside of my first 15% TCA peel with a glycolic acid prep (cellbone).  I will let you know how it turns out.  I see my dermatologist in Beverly Hills Friday.  I will let you know what they say too.

Everything turned out well.  My dermatologist was impressed with my skin.  She said the overly sensitive areas would heal, just keep them moist.  She was right.  I plan on another peel after my son's birthday party.  I have just that one stubborn freckle on my check that needs another application.  My dermatologist said three times with at least a month between is recommended.  She said she is surprised I used 30% and recommended 15% for starters.  Also not neosporin, since it can cause bumps in the skin, like acne.  Use petrolium jelly, any good after peel lotion or cream, available on Amazon.com or even aloe vera gel (as pure as possible).
