I might be wrong... but from what I've always heard, astringent is to get rid of oils, and help keep blemishes at bay... and toner is to 'balance' out the pH of the skin, and to help shrink pores. I guess they are kind of similar... but I think astringent is a little stronger and has more alcohol-type ingredients in it.

Some people think that toner's are an unessary part of skincare, but i myslef love using toner's. Nowadays you can get all different types and ive always belived that after toning applying your moisturiser will seal in any miosture and keep your skin moist.I love using toner on my skin.

I love using toners, since my skin changes from normal to oily type of skin.

Hmm thats quite interesting. I usually only use toner once a day after taking off my makeup. I don't normally use it in the morning prior to mosturizing. DO you guys use it 2x daily? Does it not irritate/dry up your skin at all?
