Not sure if this is the right spot for this...

Does anybody here shave/wax/etc their arm hair? My arms aren't too bad, but I'd prefer them to just be completely hairless :p Just wondering if you girls had any good or bad experiences with this. Oh and laser hair removal isn't an option right now.

I used to shave my arms, and I regret that I ever did. While my hair didn't grow back thicker or even worse than before, I definitely hated NOT having the hair! Whenever it was cold, it just felt like needles were going up and down my arms! I don't recommend it at all! I'd try lightening my arm hairs before I did that again!

If you want to get rid of arm hair, wax, epilate, or use depilatories. I work with a girl who shaves her arm hair, and even though she looks smooth, I hate bumping into her because I can feel rough stubble. It's weird, because you never expect it just by looking at her arms.

i have bad arm hair (thank you mom's genetics for that one). my hair is black so that doesnt help. every few weeks i just use the veet hair removal cream (its the most gentle that ive tried out of all of them) all over my body (once again thanks to mom, i have body hair everywhere, this has bothered and made me self concious for years). it works pretty well, just dont do it too often cause it can cause major irritation (i do it at most every 2 weeks if not longer).

My arm hair is light brown on the top, and darker on the sides. I normally just bleach it. I would wax or nair before i would shave though.

I have alot of arm hair, it used to drive me crazy. I've gotten use to it though. IT doesn't bother me anymore at all. I don't think I'd ever ever shave it, I know people who do and their arms feel weird all of the time.

I remember long time ago i shaved my arm once... but I wasn't too delighted. my arm is pretty dark, and so I wasn't sure if bleaching it would make them look less noticeable. I've come to terms with my arm hair and just let it be

Well, thankfully I have very blonde hair on my arms, so it's not a problem with me. I wouldn't reccomend shaving though. My best friend used to do that - even though her arm hair is blonde too - and it looked sorta weird (with no hair) and she was scratchy feeling.

Some of my friends have this problem.... I think they use a product similar to Veet now. It seems to work. It soft, and when the hair comes back, its thinner and more blond.... And it doesnt leave a scratchy feeling. I think you have to use the product every two weeks. otherwise, short hair will become visible, that is standing straight up ( like goosbumps) because the hair is still to short to lay down on the arm^_^

I also have my genetics to thank for my dark arm hair (thankfully I'm finally getting laser treatment) but I made the mistake of shaving...I would bleach if your skin isn't too dark (then it looks a little unatural) or wax...

I keep mine shaved. I never had alot of arm hair but it still bothered me the way it looked. I exfoliate regular and haven't had any problem with stubble. It stays smooth even when I need to shave but maybe that's b/c it's so fine and I don't have much of it.

I just wanted to correct myself..

When I say I made the "mistake" it's just because I had darker, thick hair so shaving left me stubbly and uncomfortable.

I do have friends that it works for though...

go for the wax. after u shave a couple days it starts to feel weirdd, ya know. very..pointy and jagged. and if u wax itll still grow back (but a lil arm hair is better than alot)

Hmm... for me it's darker on the lower half of my arms, like my upper arms it's pretty blonde. For those who do get rid of their arm hair do you do the entire arm?

I shave and I regret ever starting to. It's just a pain in the rear and is just another chore I have to do in the morning. I think I might try out doing Veet like some of you other ladies.

I've been shaving my arm hair for several years now... I'll do it maybe once every 3 or 4 days, since it doesn't grow very fast. I agree that sometimes if you get cold it can feel prickly, but it doesn't bother me too much. The only thing I don't like is I always slice up my elbows, no matter how careful I am

I used some Veet stuff once, but the chemicals in that are too strong and really irritate my skin. I'm thinking this winter I might grow it long enough so I can wax it off... to save my poor elbows! lol

I have dark thick arm hair. I epilate it. It works great and I only have to do it every other week.

I shaved my arms a long time ago.. wish I would never have done that! If you prefer to have hairless arms.. then I say go for it!! As long as you plan to shave them forever!!
