Apple cider vinegar rinse...

I use apple cider vinegar without the pulp or "the mother" as they call it. Actually, I use a raw/vegan shampoo that's made out of apple cider vinegar--my hair tends to be a little on the dry side and the ACV wash/rinse combo works great

Does it leave a sour smell?

I also doubt that the apple cider vinegar shampoo will give a dour smell. That is why, I use a mixture of baking soda and water at shower time. I massage my head well concentrating on the scalp and rinse it our after 5 minutes. 

Veronica do tell me about smells left behind by your shampoo, if any.
