I've been out of my MK Microdermabrasion Step 1 (the crystallized scrub step), and I've really been wanting to try Stila's Retexturizing Scrub. I've been told it's similar to microdermabrasion, except it can be used more often. Has anyone tried it before, or does anyone currently use it? If so, what's your take on it? Just as good or better than microdermabrasion, or just a good gentle daily scrub?

I have no clue..sorry! But how's that MK Microdermabrasion? I heard it was good..

Are you referring to this one?

I have it and I really like it. I started using it once a week to see how my skin would react to it. I have dry skin and I didn't want it to get irritated and start flaking off. Now I use it twice a week and I am content with it. Its not too harsh but it does leave my skin feeling clean and smooth. I would recommend it. In fact, I should add this item o my reviews. I also like that the scent isnt too overpowering. Some scrubs smell really strong and then I dont use them because they make me gag.

It keeps my skin smooth and I've noticed I'm not as prone to my "monthly" breakouts as I am without using it. You should contact a local rep to get some samples of it, or I can have my rep send you some.

I've just REALLY been wanting to try this... If you are liking the St/ Ives one, then I would use that one and then try Stila's. I like it but I dont think its anything exceptional. Does that make sense?

It makes perfect sense. I reckon I should use it up first... Ho hum! Although, I'm lucky as I received a sample of this from a recent swap, and I used it last night. It's much closer to the MK Microdermabrasion than the St. Ives scrub. Not to mention, I can use both as long as it's not on the same night. Blasted! Now I'm up in arms over what to do! Thanks for the help though Marisol!

It's okay. I got a small sample from the MA at the Stila counter. It's a very gentle exfoliator and I find that I could use it more than twice a week without irriating my skin. Like Marisol, there's nothing special about it.

I rarely use this product. Its in the back of my medicine cabinet. After using it for a while, I wasn't too impressed with it.

I did find a better scrub which is MAC's Micro Refinisher. It works really well. It doesn't have the nice scent that the Stila one does but it does exfoliate and leave my skin feeling soft.

Oh, no! Not another lemming! I never use that word, either, so see what you've done to me.

I'm just kidding, Marisol.

I'm just kidding, Marisol. Well what can I say? It works so well! I got a trial size of it in one of the Try On Pacs and I will be purchasing the full size product when I run out.

Well, I ended up getting the Retexturizing Scrub. I'm not overly impressed. Talk about a lemming that shouldn't have been! However, I'm going to use it up... Then, it's time to find something new!

Thank you so much for reminding me!

how would you ladies compare stila and mac to st ives? i've always gone back to st ives, but never used anything expensive, so i'm wondering if it's worth the extra money.

I haven't used MAC yet, but I can say I prefer the St. Ives over the Stila...

Never tried St. Ives so I can't compare it with Stila or MAC. But I prefer MAC over Stila.
