Anyone tried dremu? Or can you tell me about emu oil in general?

My skin is very dry and irritated right now, and in the past, I have always found natural oils to be the only thing that doesn't irritate it further. So I remembered an Oprah episode from a couple years ago talking about Dremu - a line that uses emu oil in their products. I checked out the Dremu site just now, and it sounds like good stuff - penetrates skin seven layers deep, helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles, helps with wound healing, etc. Have any of you tried either dremu products or emu oil in general? The site says that celebrities and makeup artists swear by it, and it was featured on the Oprah show. If anyone would please share your experiences with emu oil and what you think about it, and if you think the claims hold some veracity, I would really appreciate it! Would hate to throw good money away! :icon_wink

Are you referring to .... DECEPTION.... that was featured on Oprah, but I have never tried it. I am also curious to see other posts about it.:icon_chee

yeah....oprah was talking about deception....and it is part of the dremu line. yeah...i was just curious if anyone has tried either that or just emu oil in general. if oprah uses it, it has to be good, right?! :icon_wink

I also would be interesting learning more about this. When I used to go to Curves there was a lady there who had lost 100 something pounds so she had big time stretch marks. She used the emu oil line that Henry's marketplace sells and they are about 70% gone. Pretty crazy. I'm thinking about trying it for my acne scars. I'm using a TCA peel right now so maybe I'll use that instead of Antibiotic Ointment.Let me know if you learn anything=):clap

I've used emu oil on my face and it worked ok but what really got rid of my dry tight feeling was camiella oil. This is a great oil. It sinks right in and really hydrates my skin much better than emu oil. I get my camiella oil at goldportbeauty.

Bump......

I was looking at this and wondered if there are any other thoughts on Dremu oil.

I agree with Smilingfaces on camellia oil. Having used jojoba oil, olive oil and rosehip oil, camellia is the best. Haven't tried Dremu oil. Its price tag scares me away.

Yep, it's the price tag that scares me a bit too. But on the website they give it a 6 month guarantee.

I'll check into the camellia oil

I haven't heard anything about it, but when I did a Blingo search for MakeupTalk (as I always do - even though I know the address) Dremu came up as one of the sponsored listings.

I have the Silkia Camelia, had been using it on my hair. I did try it once on my face, didn't seem that miraculous and the slightest thing will break me out so I will just stick with my routine. I use a cream that has emu oil, aloe and idebenone in it and I really like it.

angie,

what is the moisturizer you use that has emu oil, ibebenone and aloe in it? it sounds prety nice. i use prevage, but i want to find something less irritatng to my face (and hopefully cheaper! :icon_roll )

I sell it in my ebay store so don't want to hype it up too much (don't wanna be a spammer). You are welcome to look at my feedback and see what others think of it :)

It's not the slightest bit irritating to my face, in fact I use it after glycolic peel and MD to sooth it a bit.

Emu oil is not supposed to clog pores. It can also be used as a carrier for other things since it penetrates deep. Just do a google and you'll get tons of info
