mole as in brown round thing on your skin (mostly areas hit by sun, face, arms, legs...)? because if it is, i'm afraid you need to consult a specialist. make sure he/she takes a look on the other moles you might have, as sometimes they can be cancer cells (melanoma).

btw, welcome !!

I wouldn't attempt to remove a mole yourself. You could get an infection, or it could be something that needs attention from a dermatologist.

If your mole protudes from the skin surface, like a skin tag, you can remove it this way:

(Might be easier if a friend can help you)

Cut a piece of thread about a foot long.

Wrap the thread around the mole. Pull the thread tight.

Make sure the thread is around the base of the mole, not the middle.

Pull the thread as taunt as possible and knot twice.

Cut off the ends of the thread.

The mole will feel irritating but ignore the discumfort.

In a day or two, the mole will die because it won't get anymore blood flow.

In a week, the dead mole will fall off your body.

I've taken off 3-4 moles with this method.

Oh guys come on, if you are molly like me sometimes I dont mind htem but I do have one on my neck I hate, I know how she feels, I have heard alot of strange rememdys BUT NONE NOT ONE has worked so I dont have a rememdy. Good luck and WELCOME~~

it depends on the mole.. you should always see a doctor.. an acquaintance of our family went to have it removed and the doctor discovered that it was infact a cancerous mole that needed to be removed surgically and they had it sent to a lab to confirm it.

if its a skin tag, its a different story.. you can do it the way carolyn described, it works just fine or, again, check with a doctor.

I've heard of the method Carolyn mentioned, but if it's a large one I'd definitely see a dermatologist before attempting to take it off yourself.

not in any way to be rude, but someone linked a site that said putting honey on and leaving it there for 15 minutes would help. I don't really believe that. If removing a mole was as easy as that, people would have bought up all the honey supply and everyone would be moleless.

The only thing I've ever heard as far as a mole remedy is by making a paste out of blood root. It's been known to remove skin tags, moles, and even cancerous skin cells (caution it is poisonous when ingested). A good source of blood root is Blood Root Those of us into natural living love and trust that site and their products.

moles can be tricky. i don't think you should try a home remedy. i would suggest going to a dermatologist for this procedure. jmho~

You should always take precautions if your moles change in size or color or if they are new. The quickest and easiest way to remove a mole is with iodine,I have removed several moles this way. Scratch the surface of the mole with a nail file or pumice, saturate the tip of q-tip in iodine pull the cotton off(I prefer colorless, you can get it at any drugstore) place on the mole, it will sting a little, cover with tape or bandaid leave on for 24 hours, repeat. Do this until it scabs, it usually only takes 1-3 days, let the scab heal by using the same q-tip method with neosporin and a bandaid.

There is a very good cream in Romania made with substances from insects - it's called fly-fly. You might want to see their site.

I have a few unsightly mole as well.

But it is best to consult a professional because mole can be linked to skin cancer. just be careful!

I love all of my moles, I've got tons of the dark ones. Though I don't know why this worked, but my Grandma put deodorant on a mole on her face and it went away...not really sure thats a good thing.. The deodorant was a mens by Mennen..I can't remember the exact sorry

I have never heard of any of the methods posted. I did however got to the doc and get one of my moles under my arm froze off however it grew back

Don't have any myself so I can't say personally.

Hi, welcome to MUT! My advice like the others is to consult the dermatologist and have a professional remove it.
