I'm curious who else may be doing the Proactiv system? My skin has been getting worse and worse over the last year. Lots of blemishes on my lower cheeks and chin.. I'd break out terribly about a week before my period, and it would take nearly a month for them to heal, just for it to start all over again. I finally gave in and ordered Proactiv. I'm on my third week, and my face is actually clearing up! Yay!

Sounds more hormonal than skin but if it is working Wooohooo!

If it should change...email me and I will send you a presentation via email.

I will be gone 7-24- to 7-27 but will reply asap.

Actually, mine is getting better. I haven't had any of the sensitivity or dryness others have experienced. And for the first time in MONTHS I can run my hand across my face and not feel bump after bump and bump. I love it! I hope it continues working
And thanks, Marisol, for the links!! I didn't think to search first. D'oh! LOL

Actually, I use to used Proactive. At the first 3 months, my skin was really really bad. I kept with it though. Two years in to using the products, my skin is really cleared up. During the winter, my skin was really dry. I recently had my face analyze by an esthecian. She switched me over to Sothys (cleanser and moisturizer). She said that the peroxide in Proactive may seem to help your skin but in the long run, it ages your skin quickly. I've been using Sothys for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it because I have seen a breakout yet.

i'd never do it! my hubby tried it and he had an allergic reaction to it. then it got worse and now he has eczema on his face!

I use it and it really makes my skin clear but the trick is to not stop. I was off and on with washing my face for a few weeks ago and now I have to start all over with clearing up my skin. If I am consistant with the products they really do work great. I didn't get results right away like a lot of ladies I got good results after about a month and a half but they came I just stayed with it.

I use it when I get a pimple here and there, it dries pimples sooo fast. I don't use it everyday.

I order Proactiv a couple of years ago. I had a horrible reaction to it. When I woke up my face was BRIGHT red and really irritated. But after I used it a couple more times my skin got used to it. I never really did see much of a difference but my skin was never all that bad. I have been using the Clinique 3 step system for a year now and my skin is better now than when I used the proactiv.

I had a friend in high school that used it and her face never cleared up. Her skin looked like a really bad before pic that they show in their ads but she never got the clear "after" skin.

I also have been using it for years. I use it everyday, which does not even take that long to apply. I have dry/oily combo sensitive skin. And it has never dried my skin out. It really works great.

I've been fortunate I haven't had to worry about using such a product. My sister tried it though, and it didn't do anything for her. Although, since her breakouts were stress related, I'm not sure if that made a difference!

hmm.. I've used Proactiv for about a year to a year and a half now. I started out with skin that really wasn't that bad..it was more of the teenage breakouts and oil that almost everyone gets. I've used it really faithfully 1-2 times everyday (pretty much!). For the first few months it really helped my skin but for the past 6 months or so I really haven't noticed any benefits..my skin is pretty good and other than exfoliating I really don't notice it does anything more than the average things.

I even use the Proactiv oil free moisturizer with SPF15 under my makeup and that leaves my face looking/feeling sort of wierd and shiny and isn't (IMO) that good of a base for makeup..it makes it go on sort of wierd..it seems to me that it might work for a while but eventually it stops working..I'm looking to switch over to Neutrogena face products because I've heard lots of good stuff about them..

Proactiv is really expensive (at least for me, to buy the whole package!) and since I'm not getting any clear benefits..it seems a little wrong to shell out money for it if its not working! But if it works for you then good!

Hope this helps!

I used ProActiv last year for over 8 months. It worked great for the first 4 months but after that I still got the pesky break outs. Like another poster said they really don't want you to ever go off of it because your skin freaks out or atleast mine did. I don't have the smoothness that I did w/ ProActiv. I think they intend for you to pay $50 every 3 months for the rest of your life!
