Any recs for a gentle but effective face brush?

i was thinking about getting something like a Clarisonic but its very expensive and was wondering if there any cheaper manual alternatives that would give good results. Has anyone used a good one?

Merle Norman has a really nice face brush... It is very gentle and I love it!

I've heard the Shiseido face brush is quite gentle.

I use the one from the Body Shop. It's cheap and leaves my face sooo soft after I use it.

Just wondering, is a face brush used with your cleanser? Is it for exfoliating?

With manual brushes, people use them to exfoliate their faces while cleansing or to exfoliate their faces after cleansing.

I like using only my fingertips while cleansing my face whether I'm exfoliating or using just a facial wash. By using a wash cloth or facial brush it makes me want to scrub harder.

I don't remember the brand, but I had a nice, gentle one from Sally Beauty Supply.
