Amino Acids for Skin Care?

I am always looking for new ways to make my skin smoother again.. I have tried everything from drinking Apple Cider Vinegar to  homemade aspirin-based mud packs.. Has anyone out there heard about the benefits of taking amino acids INTERNALLY for your skin?

haven´t heard of it, and I doubt they do anything for your skin.

The supplements that can have some benefits for your skin are zink (for acne), Vitamins C (is involved in collagen production) and E (can reduce inflammation I think) and maybe some antioxidants like green tea, pomegranate extract etc. There may be others, and I know there are companies selling "anti aging" pills for a lot of money, which is total BS.

The question is, what are you doing already for your skin? If you´re already doing all there is to do (sunscreen daily, a skincare regimen that fits your skintype and contains proven anti-aging ingredients etc) then you don´t really need to do anything else, unless you have specific skin issues.

 
They may do something for you over all if you don't eat enough proteins.  They are the building blocks of life after all.  Other than that, probably nothing.  Drink more water. People don't drink enough water.

 
Everyone gets old, Hon.  Its how you decide you want to be while you are getting there.  If you smoke, all the creams and potions and wishes will not do anything in the world for you, same with alcohol and drugs and excessive tanning. 

Drink lots of water, exercise, get some sun with sunscreen, eat healthy.  That's whats going to keep you looking good.  Keep up with trends, do your hair and makeup and dress your age but dress it well. Also, have a look at your mom because genetics plays a part in this too ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Now people try, many different vitamins and nutrients in an effort to their skin smooth and youthful. But even those who are truly in their skin care, neglect of some important elements, anti-aging skin care that were involved: the amino acids.

Amino acids are molecules that are vital to every cell in your body are due to the maintenance of cellular repair. These large molecules are classified into 28 different amino acids. Of these nine are essential or necessary, so it can not be easily synthesized in our body. So we must ensure that we have an adequate supply of them in the inclusion of these essential amino acids in our diet.

 
When I hear the word "smooth" with regard to skin care, I think of exfoliation.

If you feel that your skin is not smooth, then you need to consider using a chemical exfoliant such as AHA or BHA, in some kind of liquid, gel or cream form - applied daily usually.

Or a scrub type that you apply to the skin, and then rince off.

I just use a baking soda with my cleanser. Scrub into skin for about a minute, then rince off well.

I think that the chemical exfoliants are better. But if you are tight in the pocket book, baking soda costs pennies an application.
