I'm turning 32 on St. Patrick's Day, and it feels like my skin is just as yucky as it was when I was a teenager! I thought it was supposed to get better!!! What's up with that?!

Thanks for letting me vent!

I always thought your skin improved once you were done the teens, but I guess thats not always true..I hope it is for me anyways.

My mom still breaks out ocasionally, and she actually never had acne when she was a teenager. Shes 55 now.

I changed my skin care routine about 1 year ago and I have been doing pretty darn good since then, I have an occasional single pimple.......mind you I haven't been able to stop the wrinkles and the firmness seems to be deteriorating by the day and it's not even toned at all........but in general it has improved!!

I don't know if this is going to make you feel better or worse, but my dad still has very oily skin and he's in his 50's! I guess I know where I got my oily skin from, and what I have to look forward to! lol And for the record, my dad is pretty darn healthy -- he's very athletic since he does manual labor all day (he's a cattle rancher), and the last few years he's been eating very healthy after he found out he had high cholesterol (even though he still has a 30-inch waist!) So I don't think it's diet or lifestyle for him, just genetics!

Hahaha! That's why the cosmetics industry is a billion dollar industry!

As we get older, our skin shows it too depending on how we take care of it, sun-damage, etc. That's where cosmetics and makeup come in.
