my mum told me this had worked for her i havent yet tried it but will tonight!!!

She said all u need it sugar, salt and baby oil!!!

She mix all 3 ingredients till its clumpy, make it so the sugar and salt dont dissolve to much, like umm clag glue if u noe it!!! make it so it becomes course

Wash ur face with warm water, as u would, then rinse off with cold water.

My mum told me that u feel refreshed, hm but yet to try it.

never thought of mixing sugar and salt together.

i gotta try that when i run out of my face scrub i have now.

Personally I'd replace the baby oil with something like olive or sunflower oil but yeah that'd work.

Good for the whole body as well.

thanks

. do you use regular sugar? i've been meaning to try brown sugar as a scrub.

Pure, unprocessed brown sugar which is derived from sugar cane juice, a natural source of glycolic acid, some olive oil and a few drops of lavender oil. and scrub away. make sure your sugar isn't too rough, grind it down a little.

Or try this if you have senstive skin.

Brown Sugar Agave Body Scrub

Contributed by Wholesome Sweeteners

Ingredients:

2 cups Fair Trade Organic Dark Brown Sugar

1 cup Organic Blue Agave

3 tablespoons lemon juice

2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger (or powdered is fresh isn't available)

This is great for dry itchy skin, and a perfect alternative to homemade salt scrubs which can make dry skin even drier.

Sugar cane contains glycolic acid, one of the natural alpha hydroxy acids that exfoliates the skin. Dermatologists use it in peels and you can use it at home in much smaller concentrations to improve your skin's appearance and texture. (It may even reduce wrinkles and improve other skin conditions.)

It's amazingly easy to nourish and smooth your skin (or a loved one's...) from within your kitchen cabinet. And besides, afterwards, you'll have healthier, smoother, brighter-looking skin with a deliciously sweet glow ....

Mix the ingredients together then massage it into damp skin. It makes a fantastic organic (and highly "kissable") scrub. Remember that because the skin on our faces is so very tender, you'll need to be extra gentle–especially around your eyes.

I always just add sugar OR salt to my normal face wash when I want a good scrub. The sugar isn't as abrasive & dissolves more than the salt, so which one I choose depends on how much exfoliating I need at the time. I usually need a lot of exfoliating these days, so I've been using the salt a lot more.

lol that's what i do. i mix sugar with some coarse salt, and use either sunflower or olive oil to mix them in a paste. adding some coconut oil is great too.

I so want to try this now!

I bought a microfiber facial mitt from Wal-Mart and I love it! I wash first, then rinse with warm water, and then wet the mitt and wring it out till just damp. Then gently scrub in a circular motion. I see all the dead skin cells flake off. Then I rinse again with warm water, then finish with cold splashing 10 times. Then I wash the mitt and wring it out and hang it up to dry. The mitt cost me 5 bucks and was well worth it. I bought 3 of them.

I use baking soda mixed with a bit of my regular cleanser and it works great plus it's really cheap!
