So, I finally got Burberry Brit Sheer, and I absolutely LOVE it! I called the Burberry site number, and they said they weren't sure if Tender Touch was DC'd or not, and they're not sure if Brit Sheer is LE. At their recommendation, I called a Burberry store (in White Plains). Apparently, Tender Touch has BEEN discontinued! OMFG! And they're not sure if Brit Sheer is LE, but it's known that Brit Red is being DC'd.

WTF am I going to do if Brit Sheer is DC'd/LE?! It's definitely my new HG scent... Sorry, but it definitely beats out Philosophy Amazing Grace! Does anyone know the real shelf-life of a perfume? I might need to get 2 bottles of Tender Touch now, and then when I know Brit Sheer is leaving (which we hope it doesn't), I'll have to stock up on that. WHY, WHY, WHY?!

i dont know what any look like so i dont know which my mom has but i think as long as the bottles stay closed and in a cool place they will last you, maybe even the fridge? lol no idea but i hope it works for you

that stinks

i bet if you keep them in the box unopened and don't let them get hot they should last a long time ? but i'm no expert

Awww. Sorry. I hate it when you find something you love and then they d/c it.

Glad you got burberry sheer, but that does suck! I love Tender Touch. I'll have to pick up a bottle for sure. How is burberry sheer described? Does it have any comparisons to the other burberry scents? Does it smell similar to Amazing Grace? I didn't like that.

That sucks. Stock up if you really like it. Remember to store in a cool place.

For me, I smell the floral but with almost more of the pineapple/yuzu/citrus scent to it. It's a very delicate scent, but it is a strong one given it's an EDT. I can still smell it on me, and I applied it at 7am this morning (2 squirts). Here's the notes from the Nordstrom site: Quote:
Burberry Brit Sheer, a Nordstrom exclusive, a delicate, joyful and fresh floral fruity fragrance. Top notes: yuzu, pineapple leaves, litchi, mandarin, grapes. Middle notes: pink peony, peach blossom, nashi. Base notes: white musk, blond woods

Mmmmm...I think I need to get me a bottle next time that I get paid!!

We have very a similar taste in scents and this one sounds AMAZING!

It is soo bad that it's going away...I don't want to fall in love with something and then have it taken away LOL!

From 4Perfume info.com:

How can I keep my fragrance from going bad?

Keep all fragrance in a cool, dry area, and away from windows as sunlight can unbalance the various ingredients. An opened bottle should be kept in its box to insure a longer shelf life.

From thebargainqueen.com:

Firstly, perfume has a very limited shelf life. Usually it's estimated at about a year; in The Bargain Queen's experience it's a little more if you protect it from heat and direct sunlight. So what happens when perfume goes off? It doesn't look any different or have mould growing on it, but the stale perfume smell is pretty distinctive and really not attractive. If you don't know the smell, check Grandma's dressing table - older people are usually a reliable source of beauty products that have been hoarded too long.

and finally, the best news, from sendcolognes.com (and I saw it one other place):

10. What is the best way to store perfume?

All fragrances should be kept in a cool, dry area, and away from windows as sunlight can throw some ingredients out of balance. Experts suggest storing an opened bottle in its box, to preserve the fragrance and to ensure a longer shelf life.

11. What is the shelf life of a fragrance?

The average shelf life of a fragrance is 3 to 5 years; for pure perfumes it is much less.

Hope this helps!

It does! Now why I didn't look myself is beyond me LOL! Okay, so I can stock up on both LMAO! Thanks!

I store my in a wall cupboard in my bathroom. Its not really a 'cool' place but its away from sunlight and all that. So far its worked fine. Sorry about that perfume being discontinued. I reallyyy dispise when companies do that

i stock my perfumes in their original boxes, either in my closet or in the bathroom. i never had any problems.

that definitely sucks though. i tried to find Tender Touch at sephora, and they only have London which stinks.

Keep the boxes and store the fragrance in them. Go ahead and buy as much as you can find. I use an Avon fragrance that was DC'd I bought 4 bottles. Gave one away. stock up if you can find it. I keep mine in my closet, it's cool and dark.
