Ok.. I know there are some forums out there about this, but instead of searching, I thought I would start a new thread.

I am 48 years young.. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I have always not looked my age until about a year ago and then all of a sudden, I have all these wrinkles around my mouth and the crow feet.

Is there a good moisturizer and foundation out there to help with the wrinkles. I know its all part of mother nature, but hey.. we all are looking for a miracle cream, aren't we? LOL

Also wanted to say I really love these forums. I have already learned alot about skin care and great advice. Keep un the good works girls..

Hugs..

Barb

Hi,

Make sure your moisturizer OR foundation contains a SPF. I believe Revlon has a foundation for us women of 40+.

I started (a year ago) making my own moisturizer -- I use pure aloe vera gel and pure vitamin E oil. (About 1 part E to 5-7 parts aloe -- I'm not very precise about it.) The E make the aloe dry not hard and shiny, the aloe lets the E glide on without dragging on your skin. It does take a few minutes to sink it and stop being ... E-like... but I love the soft, smooth effect; and it's healthy and works well.

Consumer Reports this month also tested anti-wrinkle creams... They recommended (of all things!) Oil of Olay Regenerist (which I had been using before I went natural). I'll try to find that issue and write up a brief summary of what-all they said. (I remember: They DID say that La Prairie -- the $300 an oz or whatever insane price it is stuff? -- was NOT as effective as the other way-cheaper stuff!) They studied the creams in conjunction with some French lab -- that's all I remember about the article right now.

p.s. I'll be 51 in 10 days.... so I know about that older skin thing {frown} {sigh}

hi barb! i'm monnie from michigan and i turned 48 in october. just like you, i've discovered that we really have to work at this skincare thing. it would help to know your skin type and what you're using now. there are so many products out there and sounds like a new regime could be a great benefit. i'm looking forward to your posts and welcome!

Hi there.. my skin type is; I have very fair skin, t-zone in the winter and in the summer very oily. I am liking the Age Perfect Foundation by L'oreal right now.

Alot of people seem to get great results from Olay products and they are cheaper than a lot of other brands out there.
