I'm looking for a face wash for super oily acne prone skin that is affordable & that works! Can anyone recommend anything?

I've tried proactiv in the past & it worked for about a year & then stopped working for me. I am currently using aveeno's foaming clear complexion face wash, but it isn't helping much...........

I have oily acne prone skin and so far I have not been able to find something along drugstrore price that helps, so I go for things that are a little pricier, but only because I need to.

Well I am willing to pay more as long as it actually works......but I've tried so many pricier lines that don't help at all...............

check out shiseidos skin care line go down to a counter and have them try some of the products on you my mom used them and she loved them

ok, thanks! do they have a website too, just so I can look ahead of time & see what the costs are?

Well my stepdaughter loaned me her murad line, she said it's really good for acne & that if I like it she can get it for me really cheap cuz she works at a spa/salon. Has anyone tried this??

I know I've tried neutrogena in the past & it did nothing for me, but I don't remember which products I tried, it was several of them though.....

I think if I don't like the murad I'll try the new mario badescu acne cleanser & try a toner from them too.....

I have oily, acne prone skin.

I use Jergens Pure and Gentle Clear Soap. Has good cleansing agents.

It is a clear liquid dispenced in a pump.

Having had oily skin for 33 years (I'm 43) I really don't know of too many cleansing products that do more than wash off dirt and oil.

I don't believe they do anything to prevent any future oil from forming.

I have been on Accutane twice - 1st for acne and 2nd to control oil.

Accutane is the only product that I know of that can stop or eliminate most oil from forming on the face. If you can afford to try it, I strongly recommend it!

I have very oily skin & I use glycolic cleanser. Its good to alternate with the salicyclic products too. I started off using MD Forte but they no longer sell online, only at dermie offices :-( They used to make MD Formulations, which is the line carried by BE, but it cost more & is only offered in 1 strength. I now use DermaDr brand which is the same thing, cost less & comes in 3 strengths. price is pretty reasonable too. Here is an article about different AHAs & a link to the cleanser I'm using.

I use Oil Of Olay's 2-in-1 cleanser and toner and it works great. I don't have acne prone skin but it is oily in the summer.

neutrogena's rapid clear face wash works wonders.

i use it during my period all the time and it helps keep zits at bay, plus its pretty cheap ($7 i think).

I noticed you use Mario Badescu's drying mask and lotion...I loooove his enzyme cleansing gel. Its not specifically for acne but since using it my skin has cleared up significantly and its not drying at all, which is a major plus. They're usually pretty good about giving you samples if you call them or fill out the skin questionaire online.

Co-sign! I use this in the morning and the Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser at night. It works like nothing else has! I rarely get whiteheads anymore (never got blackheads), maybe 1 around that time of the month, maybe.

I just started using Ice Elements....alot of people swear by it over on the HSN boards and on the IE boards. You can get it at HSN.com or Welcome To Ice Elements Skin Care It is less expensive at HSN. For a lot of people, they've started on the Normal/Oily line, and it's BALANCED their skin that they now use the normal/dry line. Check out the message boards at ice elements. There is a section called ask shelly, she's one of the owners/creators of ice elements. If you ask her, she will come up with a regimine for you. I just got the normal oily kit from HSN.com Official Site, the original home shopping network for $45. Comes with a cleanser, antiaging serum, moisturizer, night serum, and a night cream. I used IE about 2 years ago, and it seemed to be balancing my skin out, but I was lazy and didn't feel like ordering it again, and went to stores and wasted a ton of money on stuff. Oh, and try the 2minute miracle exfoliator. Neat stuff.

Try AcneFree you can get it at Walmart. I use that and Nucelle 10% serum.

With my super oily skin I find AHA is very helpful at keeping the breakouts down I also use Olay age defying restoritive night cream. I use it AM and PM. Only thing that doesn't cause zits. EDM sunscreen.
