I'm trying to grow out my hair and make it as healthy as possible. I haven't dyed it in three months and I trim it regularly, but it stays fairly dry and frizzy likely because since I currently don't have a car I walk everywhere. I use a leave in conditioner that somewhat protects it, but it seems to need a bit more love. I can't really afford any high end products which is a shame because when I lived in Texas I found Aveda's products and argan oil helped my hair a lot even when I was dying it frequently, swimming, etc. I have naturally thick sort of maddening hair so it's difficult to keep happy.

Does anyone know of any affordable products that are really good at helping hair thrive even with constant sun exposure. It's a two hour walk to my work and back so I'm out in the sun daily I already use a moisturizer and sunscreen for my skin, but I don't know what products would work well for my hair since thus far nothing has really helped.

If you saw benefits from argan oil, I suggest checking out Organix Hair products. They have a line of argan oil that I enjoy (I have both the Moroccainoil and Organix oils, and have used Josie Maran's) and I honestly can't tell the difference between Organix and Moroccanoil (Josie Maran was the best but far too expensive). In Canada it retails for like 8-9 bucks? But I've seen it cheaper at an Ulta in the US.
