has anyone ever tried this skin care line. i've taken a position in a day spa that uses this product line and i've never tried it, although i know adriene arpel has been around for some time. can anyone give me some info? thanks much!!!

I don't know much about the products, but I used to have some of her books. I wonder what ever happened to them.....Hmmmm.

thanks so much kim!

right now i use a combo of products i know work well in my treatments. not necessarily one complete line. i'm wondering if i need to defend my choice of products rather than just using this line because that's what they sell. my experience is that every line i've ever tried has good and bad products. my goal is for my clients to see improvement in their skin, not just push a retail line. i'll have to really think about this one!

From what I've seen on HSN, the makeup looks like greasy gunk, she does quick little makeovers with it, mostly cream based stuff which looks ok right after you apply it, but what about as the day goes on?? As far as the skincare stuff goes, alot of it seems like basic mineral oil based creams and cleansers with fancy names and ant-aging "miracle" products with way-out-there sales pitches.....now, I have never tried the stuff but this is all my impression from watching her peddle on HSN. I have watched a good amount of it, too- I find the makeup stuff fascinating to watch, even tho I never buy anything. One thing that's funny- she has about a million products, something for everything under the sun, that alone makes me suspicious... they are probably all the same, maybe with different amounts of mineral oil...all with different names. It would be interesting to hear from someone who actually uses the stuff.

are you kidding me, jen? mineral oil! oh my goodness, i could never use that on my clients. many of them have problem skin - adult acne and hyperpigmentation. that will just never work! thanks so much for the heads up!

Hmmm. I really wish I'd had some experience with the brand. I wonder if there are any other opinions on the matter. I'm sure we've had at least a handful of people who have tried AA products.

oh Monnie!!! I'm sorry, this is how rumors get started - I am not positve that these products are all mineral oil based- that is what I THINK- I'll see if I can find ingredient lists anywhere for you. It's just one over those lines where the sales pitch is soooo out there, you know? The makeovers are all done with very creamy based make-up and that kind of stuff just slides off your face after a few hours, ya know? I'll see if I can find more info for you so you can make a better decision!
