hey...I've been suffering with really bad spots/oily skin lately and they/it just won't go.

Ive just recently started to use garnier pure deep clean cream wash for sensitive skin, garnier pure daily purifying pads, garnier pure A daily treatment moisuriser and garnier pure A intensive night treatment gel!!!

does anybody know if this is going to make my spots and skin worse or if it will work???

also does anybody know any good make up that is excellent at hiding spots???

please helpp!!!

i think u should use benzo perioxide (excuse my spelling) as a spot treatments and best coverage is a mineral makeup maybe try id bare minerals or glo minerals

I think you're using too many products on your face, or maybe they're too harsh?? If you use too many products you can just end up stripping your face of its natural oils and so your skins reaction is to produce more oil. I would suggest using something with either salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide but something that doesn't contain a big amount as it can dry out your skin.

What does your daily skincare routine look like? What products do you use and in what order?

well, if you have just started using those products, you will have to wait until you see the results. overall i'm not satisfied with garnier products, they are too harsh for my skin, even when it's labelled for sensitive skins. if i were you, i'd avoid using the cream cleanser and the pads, it's just my opinion but it looks too much.

Instead of using MORE product on your face, why not spend a week without using ANYTHING on your face? Then you can see how your skin behaves on its own, and if you still have spots, introduce products one at a time to see if they're working for your or making it worse. For acne, I second the idea of using a simple BP Cleanser (Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask is great) and a glycolic acid based toner (Mario Badescu and Devita both make good ones). You might want to try something like organic jojoba oil as a moisturizer.. In general, the fewer ingredients you apply to you face, the better skin you'll have. Most OTC moisturizers are fillers with minute amounts of active ingredients and aren't worth your money. If you STILL have spots, see a dermatologist, who can give you an Rx for a retinol treatment

HTH! great advice! sounds like you may have product overload. although, for acne i like salicylic acid based products rather than bp or glycolic acid. jmho~

When it comes to acne, less is more. All of those things that claim to do something for your skin, esp. cleansers, ditch them. All you need is a very simple, pure face wash (i.e., Cetaphil or Purpose), treat your skin with a benzoyl perxoide lotion (i.e., Clearasil, Neutrogena On-The-Spot), Or Salicylic Acid if you are allergic to BP, and moisturize with a non-comedogenic moisturizer (i.e., Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture, Complex 15).

I know acne is really hard to deal with, as I still break out and I am nearly 21. Eh, whatever, I deal. I use MMU, (Meow) to cover it, and it does well. I don't have severe acne, so it is not a big problem to conceal.

Good luck. I know it sucks, lol.

So, i dont have terrible acne but i get break outs when im super stressed or around that time. I went to sephora and I have sensitive skin and they suggested First Aid Beauty products.

THEY ARE AMAZING! I swear, i've used everything over the years. I'm diabetic so i already have a healthy diet and I drink a ton of water but this stuff works on ones that just show up. Its so gentle on your skin that you dont feel it working. But i swear by it.

The only downside is it is pricey but they have a FAB Faves Kit on Sephora for 38 dollars and it comes with three full sized products at like half the price of the three bought individually. But i swear, this stuff is like magic.

First of all you would want to make sure that there is no alcohol in your spot cream, it dries out spots which is great, as long as your not planning on wearing makeup because you will get dry cakey bits where your spots are. So, make sure your skin is nice and mosturised then I would suggest a foundation primer like smashbox photo finish as it is full of antioxidents which will improve your spots! Then if they are quite red first apply a green concealer. Then a good liquid concealer under your foundation :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I hate the Garnier brand because it broke me out like crazy and at one point I was so embarassed to even leave the house. I've tried many drugstore brand and none of them worked for me. The only brand that helped me was Dermalogica and Skin Ceuticals which are a bit expensive but I believe you get what you pay for because they are quality products and my skin's been so beautiful ever since I started using them.
