If you have a pimple the best thing to do is to put a bunch of benzoyl peroxide (like clearasil ultra) right only on the pimple - especially at home when no one is around and can see the white glob. Let it dry, and if it gets red and dry, or is oozing wet stuff, alternate by washing the area every 6-8 hours, and then putting a glob of polysporin ointment (antibiotic, next to the neosporin, but better), and make sure to keep the area wet with teh polysporin, then wash the area gently again with a gentle cleanser, put the benzoyl peroxide on..let that dry and leave that on for 1/3rd of the day, etc. It'll zap it quickly and also promote healing and keep it from scarring. If hes got any infection left in it have him use polysporin on it. Have him use a uva/uvb sunscreen w/ antioxidants and vitamins everyday (after washign his face with a gentle cleanser, then using something like neutrogena clear pore treatment all over his face, a salicylic acid treatment). Have him get a tube of mederma and/or skin biology CP serum to rub on any scars 3 x a day. ANd you can also use a lesser strength benzoyl peroxide cream (before sunscreen) and rub it in all the way til invisible, let dry, during the day for acne prevention, but a 2.5 or 5% strength (I like mary kay's blemish treatment gel, its a great 5%).
