Acne from steroids?

Hi everyone,

This is one of my first posts, I'm new here (although I've been stalking the boards for awhile)!  So about a month ago, I started taking Prednisone, and I have to be on it for at least a couple more months for arthritis.  It has some side effects, one of which is acne which I unfortunately have /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  I've always had mild acne, as in a couple of pimples every few weeks or so, but it's gotten worse and spread to my neck which is horrible to try and get rid of.  Has anyone else experienced drug-induced acne?  Or does anyone just have some suggestions about what products I can use to get rid of this?  Are there certain cleansers or anything that you think would work well for this situation?

Sorry...I'm not on prednisone but acne is one of the 'mild' side effects of the drug.

Thanks, I know--was just wondering if anyone has also had to deal with it, and if there are any acne products that work better for these sorts of issues.  I don't know, it might be a stupid question.

It's starting to clear up some, but now I'm having the issue of some of it becoming dry and itchy.  I don't know how to really moisturize it/relieve the itching without causing more breakouts. :/

Maybe switch to oil free moisturizers while you're on Prednisone and a spot treatment?

I do both of those /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  looks like I might just have to wait it out until I'm off of this crap!
