hey everyone,

I've had acne since grade 4! Now I am 20, and pretty much clear. It has always ranged from mild to moderate, but got really bad at the end of highschool. I went on possibly everything from pills, to creams, etc.

I guess getting older helped

Now though I have pigmentation/scarring, I can't tell which. They fade over time, some in weeks, others take much longer.

My question is that I want to start wearing makeup now (I only ever had my friends do so for me for parties), and I am not comfortable with putting on concealer. I want the change to be gradual, not to show up some day at college with a full face of makeup! So what can I do? Just use eyeliner, mascara and lipstick..

-note: I have a tanish skin color, and It's really hard finding anything that matches, one more reason I shy away from foundation etc

thanks

you sound like you'd be a good canidate for tinted moisturizer, which would even out your skintone until your spots fade. are you wearing anything at all right now?

I also have a tanish skin and yeah, it's hard to find something that matches my skin tone. I have to mix foundations to get a perfect match, otherwise I end up looking like an orange.

But hey, don't be afraid os wearing foundation during the day. The secret is getting the right color and not applying too much.

I only wear makeup during the day on fridays, because me and my friends go out for a fancy lunch. I don't like to look like I'm made up, so what I do is this (hope it helps you!):

- I apply some mineral foundation (I use either BE medium tan, Micabella Cappucino or EDM Sandy Medium) with the flawless face brush by BE. This is important! I don't use a Kabuki, 'cause this type of brush gives you a more intense coverage.

- I aplly some mineral concealer too, but just a little bit. The dark circles don't go away 100%, just about 50%. It's more natural looking so...

- I put on some mascara.

- And then I go over the top lash line with a brown pencil.

Sometimes I don't even apply gloss or lipstick.
