ok.....so the other bathroom privacy thread addressed that whole #1 and #2 thing. Well how about waxing, depilatories, face masks, acne treatments.......etc........do you do these thing in front of your s/o?

I had a friend whose husband had no idea she "took care" of her mustache and though she just naturally woke up that beautiful.

I'm with Bruce through thick of thin.........he sees all the scary things I do!!! sometimes he looks at me like I am an alien.....but hey, he needs to see the work I put into my self for him!!LOL

how about yourself..........let it all hang out or top secret beauty?

I use to think we ladies should be more secretive about our beauty regimes.....but after 5 years of living with my BF....my thoughts have changed.

And I love how you think our men should see how much effort and time we put into our selfs...my BF has, and he makes a point now, of allowing me lots of time before going out to get ready.... No more, I'll be there in 5 mins, we're going to my buddies tonite with some friends...so what you haven't showered or combed your hair...yeah there GF's will be there!!!!!

Now, he tells me an hour in advance

As well as makes a point of telling how lovely or good I look, when he see's I've spent time doing it.

Nothing is worse then spending 2 hours getting dressed up, hair & make up......to get no attention or comments from the BF.

I don't mind doing my hair in front of him, or facials, or tweezing.

But I'd never do things like.....bleach body hair in front of him, or wax, or shave my underarms, or apply deodorant, floss my teeth, pick at a pimple.....all those yucky things we ladies got to do to look good.

One more thing......I'd never "pass wind" in front of him or burp either!

Even though we know all guys put that kinda thing out on display! LOL

how funny you say this cuz i was reading an article the other day where a therapist was saying we should never do that kinda stuff in front of our SOs cuz it's TMI. i would do it in front of toby. hell, i've even taken pics for him (he thinks it's funny). after i read the article, i asked toby what he thought and he said he doesn't get turned off by it at all.

I pretty much do it all in front of the hubby. I guess it doesn't bother me- well, not enough to stop doing it, lol. I do see how some women like to keep things like this a mystery to their man though. I have just always been the kind of person that doesn't really care about stuff like that...not sure why.

I'm not scared to do anything in front of my SO. I mean, I'd PREFER not to have him sit there while I'm flossing or checking my pores, but I guess I wouldn't mind if he wanted to.

Kind of strange because I tried watching him do his hair a while ago and he got all shy and crazy on me, LOL! I guess I'm just an open person!

my bf joins in with some of those things - he does straighten my hair and style it sometimes (he's better at it than me) and he moisturises my back if I get burnt and want to stop the skin from peeling.

I wax/shave in the shower so he doesn't see that but not because I don't want to, just because it works out that way.

He sees me put my makeup on and thinks I take far too long to get ready, lol.

I don't care about him seeing me do any of those things.

my family has seen me with my yoda mask (i mean parents and brother). the first time i got laughs etc, then i locked myself in the bathroom except my dad needed it too so i told him not to bother me again when i do masks or whatever so now i can have rhassoul or green clay on my face and they won't say a thing.

i suppose i'll do the same in front of my BF, lol, just so he knows beauty doesn't come for free.

I have shaved and done a facial in front of my exhusband. He helped me with my hair a couple of times but anything else is private to me. Well, he has seen me without makeup so I don't care about doing that in front of someone either. I can tell you that in 7 years together, I never farted in front of him. Never went to the bathroom in front of him either. Some things are meant to be private to me.

I dont know if it is a matter of privacy in my opinion, I will do anything in front of my husband and if necessary, he will be my lab rat/assistant. If I had a beard or a mustache, i would shave it in front of him. Its kinda like being honest. Cause my brother used to date a lady that did ALOT of grooming in the dark, and superficial it may be, but I don't think that it is good for a relationship in the end.

Think if it like this: What if something was to happen to you one day, and your SO would have to take care of you, there would be no beauty regimen that you could hide. You should always be under the assumption that your SO will see you at your worst, so why not let him see what you do to look beautiful!

I'll happily do my hair, makeup, face mask in front of my bf.

I shave/wax in the shower so he doesn't see that and i wouldnt really want him too, picking at pimples, cleaning pores that kinda stuff happens behind closed doors too

LOL but I know he'd sure try. I already have him doing my bikini waxing for me!!!

Dh and I have always been very open with one another. As a matter of fact he helped me shave my bikini line when I was pregnant and he pulls of the wax strips for me when I wax because I can not bring myself to do it, lol.

i do almost everything in front of bobby. he sees everything except for when i shave the hair above my lip [which i don't need to do because you can't see it, but still] and when i shave the extra hairs that grow on the side of my face. wtf? ee. not sure where those come from.
