A gentle scrub

How often is too often to use a gentle scrub? Would 5 nights a week (with a peel on the other 2 nights) be too much (This would only be for a week and a half time period, and then I would go back to just doing the peel twice a week).

My face would be scrubbed right off lol. I only do mine once or twice a week. :icon_smil

I do a baking soda exfoliation at least twice a week. I have combo/oily skin.

i've stopped using scrubs altogether and use an aha cream exfoliate only when i need it (maybe twice a month). scrubs seem to super sensitize my skin and caused me to break out more often. i find that my skin responds much better when i don't stress it out too much or too often.

ouch, 5 times a week? My skin would be so red if I did that. I just do it twice a week, max. three.

I read an article in CosmoGIRL! where they said to use scrubs depending on your skin type - for combo it was every night, oily I think was twice a day, I don't remember what they said about dry, but it was less. Obviously this would have to be a gentle scrub, but a lot of them say on the bottle to use daily, so I think it depends on your skin. Also, maybe adjust this a little since CosmoGIRL! was probably thinking more about teenagers.
